Got my exhaust cut/welded and installed but.... I have a damn exhaust leak!!

I'm almost positive this is at the header/cat on the driver side. I can see a clear gap where the flanges aren't meeting but I have tightened them as much as I can. I actually destroyed the lock washer trying to tighten it down more. I think it may be the pipe coming out of the cat at the flange is hitting the header but not sealing.

I think I'm going to have my mechanic take a look because if that is the issue, I don't have a fix here at home.

I've been meaning to ask about your headers. I know you got them installed but I haven't seen a review. Did you notice any performance gains?

Just a shmearing will do. :D

Seriously, take a sponge and dab it and put it on. I just made sure there was a slick grease film on everything. Some areas were thicker than others. I suppose the inside of the boxed frame, up front, is loaded as I used a plunger and gobbed it. The other key is the PB Blast spray soaking. Gets all the folds and crevices that grease and FF can’t reach.

Looks like the connector for aftermarket brake controllers. Toyota has plug and play harnesses for trailer brake controllers

The exhaust didn't fit so I had to get that fixed which I did today. I didn't do any hard pulls as I was just cats on the way to get the exhaust fitted. Have to fix this leak before I beat on it but i'll report back! I also have to keep in mind I added about 300lbs of drawers recently.

Not throwing any codes I just hear it.

How many horns were on your truck before? I swear my truck, right now, sounds as loud as your Caddy ones.

My phone is in a case. It muffles the sound. There were 2 horns before. I can say these horns with a dB meter are putting out 120db at 10 ft

    stock is likely around 100

Awesome. I might tweak the little screws on the back of my horns and see if they will throw a C-Note.

    The caddy horn array is A C D F

IF an c cannot be found it’s typically swapped with an extra F

Haven't even looked at it yet but I'm almost 100% that there's a leak. It's audible outside the cab. I'll try to get some pics/video today.

From here it looks great! Nice work. If the swirl marks bother you enough, you could hit the bad areas with compound. Just go easy at first.

Have someone put their hand over the (cold) tailpipe, engine running. Makes it easy to hear where the leak is right-quick.

When I was speaking to Keith he emphasized 2-3 times that you tighten them as much as you can, until it physically hurts your hand. He said if not you'll have leaks. Might be worth giving them all another crank unless you're positive you know it's leaking elsewhere.

I feel something has to be hitting for it not to close. I tightened it so much that the lock washer broke apart. I used a large breaker bar and was manhandling that thing. I'll try to get some pics to try and show the difference between the two sides.
