Depends on how cold honestly but making sure you’re close to operating temp would help immensely.
The main benefits for me are the lack of mess, not worrying about stripping threads, not worrying about forgetting a new crush washer, not worrying about if the drain plug was put in too tight or too loose and the ease of stopping the flow midway, grabbing an oil sample, and then resuming the drain. What weight oil are you guys using?

    I'm running 10W-40 conventional.

Whats the point of a sample? Do you send your stuff off for testing, or are you looking for shavings?

Also, @Darkness i present to you. Black paint 2.0

I send it off to Blackstone every so often just to see where levels are and you CAN get an early indication of any upcoming troubles.
Are you guys sure you have the right fumoto valve? Am I sure I have the right one lol? Maybe mines ‘bigger’ :)

This reminds of a story my Poppa told me.

He was about 14, him and some buddies were out swimming in the green river.

Some kids they knew from school showed up at "the waterin hole"

His eldest brother (EB) yelled down from the top of the tree swing that went out over the river: "Hey y'all got any hair?"

One of them yells: "Wha.. hair? What are you talking about?"

EB yells: "HAIR! Ya know, down there on your parts!"

One of them yells: "Why does that matter?"

EB yells: "You GOTTA have hair to swim here!"

One of them yells: "Well FUCK YOU! We're gonna swim here anyway."

Well that stared one hell of a fist fight, and a lifelong running joke. "Got any hair? Gotta have hair to do XYZ here!"

Honestly, I'm starting to wonder. Another member sent me the link I think. I just bought without confirming. But it screwed right in. No problems. You would think all the valves flow at the same rate but who knows.

What glue did you use to attach the carpeting? Or did you use staples?

I screwed a piece of plywood over my tailgate on the inside to make a nice flat platform to use as a tabletop when im camping. I added a piece of cloth over it but the spray I used didnt adhere that well. Ill have to try out that stuff. Thanks!

So this two wire plug disables the VSC and TRAC. I wanna be able to put out into traffic even if I break a tire loose without the truck pulling all power. Thinking of wiring up a switch to flick this off and on as will

    A1F06082-7CAA-472A-AE91-49614AB8D521.jpg

only downside is these 4 lights come on.A6B7B28E-A430-478D-8CB7-CCE38173F0FD.jpgI could remove the bulbs but I’d rather keep the brake light bulb Incase I ever forget to release the parking brake or something.

Say what? Your truck loses power stabbing into traffic because of VSC and TRAC? Thought that was only a turd gen problem. Seriously, never knew this was an issue with 1st Gen. The 02 does not have those options.

Yeah I think only 05 and 06 got the weird nannies, our 4runner does it and it sounds and feels like a grumpy cat stuck in the breaks. @CodyP i thought I read a mod somewhere to do it with a relay and switch, not sure if it was a 1stie that I read the mod was for

Plug in Aerospace 303 on Big Gurll. Read the reviews. Its good stuff. A few squirts on a micro fiber can do the whole interior.

The old Armor All formula pre-2000 had the same UV protection. Thats why I get stoked on the old Armor All garage finds. The new formula isn’t the same.

My hands actually start sweating (rare for a professional of my caliber). Yes, I look for old car cleaning products if at a garage sale, etc.

I’m not a pro, but I think a gripped hand, possibly post, or mid trigger squirt, would have made the fall catalog
