Due to the 'rona, I just finished browsing literally every page on this thread and have learned a lot of neat things. I love the atmosphere here.
I had my new Deaver g57s delivered today and am waiting for my superbumps to arrive before installing. This means I will have factory leafs with 30-40k on them that I'm willing to give up for cheap (;) @Tundra2 ). Same goes for my 17" 5 double spoke rims.

I absolutely plan to take pics when I actually get things done, but I've got a lot of little things planned soon.

I think they switched to black intake manifolds for the 05-06 years.

Welcome! That is an impressive feat. When I joined there was only 120 pages and I remember how long it took me to read them all. I hope you bookmarked a lot of pages!

Does anyone use the OBD Fusion App To monitor systems in the truck?

buddy uses it on his 2nd gen and is getting lots of info and now I want it.

I know lots are using scan gauge and ultra gauge but haven’t seen anyone using OBD Fusion.

I'm not using the Fusion app but I use Torque Pro. It was worth the $5 but maybe Fusion is better? I'm able to monitor trans temp which was my main curiosity.

I’ve heard good things about the Torque App, but it appears to be for Android users only....

I have OBD Fusion and a bluetooth LT dongle. I've had them both for several years and used them on multiple cars. I haven't yet paid the $10 for the 2006 Tundra PIDs tho. It's easy to use and you can stream music while monitoring vitals or checking DTCs...from the same iPhone.
I don't use it every day tho. I break it out when I get a CEL or when I need to watch/check something.

I took off my bug deflector and mesh grill and plastidipped the chrome strips on the OEM grill. I plan to put the mesh grill back on, but it needs some TLC first.

To my dismay, when I took off the factory bug guard, the metal brackets absolutely ate through the clear plastic protective sticker and into the paint on the hood. I ordered a touch up pen knowing it won't look good, but hopefully it wont stick out so much.

I have also concluded that I don't like the bald look my Tundra has without the bug guard and I have a weathertech one one the way.

Looks clean. I like the idea of the weatherspeck one adhering under the hood and not directly clamping onto the metal. Does yours clamp on like the OEM one?

It mounts under the hood using the grill mounts but does come with two 1/2 ball things (which are clear) that stick to the hood. It keeps the shield from hitting the truck. You can only see them if you look under the shield down the hood line.

Pretty sure this was the OEM option back in the day.

Edit - the clip you can see in the pic doesn't contact the paint (from memory). I'll pull the truck out this weekend and take a look.

It was awesome to witness the change from your rollover special from the Tacoma taillights all the way to now. It really inspired me to give my truck a little love.

That was me during the cold season. Now that it’s staying warm I’ve been working on landscaping my back yard. Built this entire raised bed already. I want to try and get it to the point where I can get irrigation and sod done this summer.

I've been playing with my 19 too much lately. I decided to clean up the OG. Washed, clay bar, then wax. It's been a long day. Had fingerprints on it within 10 minutes of being done. Can't wait for school to open up again!

Man, I absolutely love that color. I remember when I first saw it on a Scion and thought that some dude had just blown clear over primer and how much of a dumbass he was. Now every manufacturer is doing it and it catches my eye almost instantly.

The going joke at work is that my body shop forgot the base cost and just cleared the primer

I elected to go with Alcan rear leafs. Sure its pricey, but peace of mind, and at least 500lb over OEM capacity will really help out when I go get more rock, and anything else I haul thats considerably heavy. Plus if i tow the boat to the lake it'll help out there too.

I think my leafs were worn out enough to warrant brand new parts. I expect to get at least another 18 years out of this upgrade.

    @Thrussn @rock climber

    Thank you both.

Na, there’s metallic flake in the paint

Granted it could just be metal dust from all the grinding that got into the primer!
