    LOL. I've been called worse.

My only concern with the suicide doors was wind noise. Mine have been quiet and dry so I have no regrets. The air injection lingers in the back of my mind...but I won't hesitate to rip that isht right out of my truck if/when it goes belly-up.

The non-reclining seat and mandatory 35' long bed were deal breakers for me. The proportions don't fit my idea of a sporty fullsize pickup. Yours is the best looking SCLB I've seen.

I fixed the non reclining seats with buckets. They don’t recline far, but comfortable enough for me.

It's just a challenge loading things into the back, especially if you are parked between other vehicles. And the backseat is essentially useless for passengers for more than a few minutes. The double cab has a sweet backseat without seeming overly huge like the newer Tundras. But if you hate having passengers the AC is probably the way to go. :)

I prefer the look and feel of the access cab. Then again I don't have kids.

Long ago, before I got my Tundra my almost father in law had a black double cab that I drove for a while to help him out with his business. It was more comfortable for sure but my access cab feels quicker and more agile.

At the end of the day, that’s all that really matters. If we all rode Chevys, Toyota wouldn’t be in Nascar....different strokes and different folks !

Oh and DC’s are the bomb

We’d regularly take my entire family (6 of us) on road trips to my grandparents I’m my dad’s 02 AC when I was littler.

granted, to average sized adults and 4 kids under 14 is different, but it wasn’t THAT bad.

I personally love the AC i have with the small doors. For me I never have passengers in the back and I pulled out the backseats and made a platform for my dog to lay on when I go camping. Then I have all sorts of storage underneath the platform for tool and recovery gear and such. Its amazing how much I can store back there. Also when I get to camp, I can swing both doors open and have one giant opening to access things. But yea, if you are gonna have passengers I'd get a DC model.

PS. If anyone local happens to need a mint back seat for their AC its yours. I was trying to sell it, but if someone on here needs it ill just give it to someone. Its in perfect condition.

Also, if someone wants the stock front skid plate, Ill give that away too.

Im in Long Beach CA by the way

Back in the early Hand Model Days, the Access Cab rear seat was where I slept until hitting the big time. Laying there back then I’d never thought I’d be where I could have been today.

I also don't have kids. It's me (giant man-child), wife, and a corgi that is not allowed in my vehicles because she sheds like nothing I've ever seen before.
When I was a kid, my parents had an 88 Ranger extended cab that we used to just pile into the back of when it was nice outside. There were jumpseats in the back for winter/rain, but woe be to the wee forker that had to ride in those little guys. I was thankfully nearly full size by the late 80s and never had to get back there.

I've been meaning to do this. I'm a terrible carpenter but it can't be that difficult. Hammer. Nail.Hammer hit nail.Nail listen to hammer.

It was soo easy. Ill take a look today and try to get some photos. I just made 4 legs and a plywood platform with some memory foam on top. The back of the truck even had some metal brackets with holes and the back legs of my table fit right into those brackets and a screw through the hole holds it in place perfectly. Im no carpenter either, but it was a great use of that rear space and satisfying to build.

Asian Noodles in Tahini Sauce tossed with Shitaki Mushroom, Crunchy Kale, and topped with Freshly Sprouted Wurlld Peas Greenage. Side avalanche of Lentil Beans. Paired nicely with a clean Lager.

In my opinion the Access cab is better off road. Shorter wheelbase, lighter weight, and Tighter turning radius. The shorter size makes it easier to maneuver in tight areas. Where I live all of our off-roading is tightly wooded trails. Larger trucks just don't get as far.

Looks like I’m going to order a new center bearing and a ecgs bushing.

tons of play in my front left cv axle. And the center bearing is sagging a fair bit. So may as well.

I agree w this, my double cab ends up getting lots of mesquite pin striping, had to reverse twice on the trail a few weeks ago due to a tight s curve in a wash

Pretty much the same here. If I drive my truck or my GTI I tend not to bring passengers and drive separately to have an easy escape. I've never liked 4 door cars in general, but if I had kids I'd have to go 4 door.

That sticker has to stay. No doubt in my mind. I have used resolve carpet cleaner on the 80 series land cruiser visors. Well, just one because it was a lot of work and there are more pressing issues on that beast. Total night and day transformation. As always, check a small test patch first. I think what I used had Teflon in it too. Stuff flies right off that visor now.
