How are the vents? I had some EGR branded in channel ones and you had to push them out to get the window to roll up. Didn’t like them at all. Maybe they were too thick?

Speed holes to make me go faster. I have the fastest tundra when you couple that with the color.

I actually have a bed to swap over once fair weather hits MN.

I've had my weather tech in channel visors since like 6 months ago and I love em. Much nicer than the cheapo stick on with double sided tape ones I had on my 99 taco. No issues rolling em up.

Yeah! These Techs visors are nice! They have a sweet design and form fit. Because they spring fit into the slot mine were a little tight on window roll ups. I used some Silicone with Teflon Spray in the track and on the window edge and it helped nicely.

You’ll want to clean the track out really well before installing because gunk tends to trap up there.

It was like summer here today.

Checked my fluids and PCV Valve for grins, and lo and behold, there is snot on the oil cap. PCV looks clear and normal. All other systems look good including dipstick. Coolant is normal level.

Just changed my oil last week. Same thing happened 2 years ago around this same time of the year and I wiped the cap off and it never returned. Been driving city stop and go with fair amounts of distance. Not short trips and the engine has been up at extended operating temp for sure.

I think the oil change mojo is at work here. Mobil 1 Synthetic HM 5w-30. Maybe moisture/additives from new oil?

I feel you buddy, I would drive it enough to get it well oil into operating temps for a while to evaporate any moisture since you just changed the oil.

Been growing Valve Cover boogers just under the PCV Valve. This pic is looking down the PCV hole. When I did my Valve Cover Gaskets in summer 2018 this port was fully clogged with gunk. These boogers have grown in 1.5 years. I have been watching them since last year.

Another pic looking down the oil filler neck hole. Looks clean. Looks cleaner around the cams since the VCG job due to the switch to Full Synthetic from this angle.

This is what I think is going on. Its been summer like here all winter and we just had a cold snap for 3 days which happened right after the fresh oil change.

Yes. But not much. The little extra noise is worth the all the benefits of the visor. The noise is a little higher with the window cracked down at high speed. With the window fully up its not noticeable at speed unless strong cross winds. Window down a slow speed is N/A.

I really like mine mostly for the venting when parked and not having to worry about rains. After years of having my window controls and left leg get soaked from rain/morning dew these visors eliminate that scenario on morning runs.

    $150 each?

I just bought the WL13 unpainted reman’d PowerStop ones from Big Gurrrl for $110 each.

$40 for a set of tow brake pads from the same place.

Removing valve cover to replace seals/gasket and fix leak. Has anyone ever used a kit sold at an auto parts store? There’s one in stock with a warranty just don’t know if that’s a terrible idea but it’s a lot cheaper than oem and I can get it done today. Any thoughts?image.jpg

OEM is best. Aftermarket is a gamble on most items. Most complaints on aftermarket VC kits is the spark plug tubes gaskets are inferior. You’ll need the 18 bolts with rubber washers from Toyota and the FIPG seal/caulk for the corners/halfmoons, as well.

Conclusion: Bite the bullet and go OEM all the way.
