Stared at this for a few minutes today. Bushing is also shot. It's the drive side lower arm. I think it's probably best to replace the whole thing.

I've been wondering the exact same thing since the vvti long tubes are almost twice as much as the non vvti long tubes. If you find out please let us know.

So somehow, I took both of your advice.

Plus I stapled the piss out of it because I’m tired of this happening. It may be wavy and look worse than factory but it has to be better than it was.

Ok that console looks great. I love the cup holders. Is that a glare or is the part above the cup holders white?

Because they are cheaper? I was looking into the same option. I believe they will, they just don’t have the air tubes to connect to the AIP system(which usually fails and it’s easiest to run the bypass kit)

I know I'd seen a write up somewhere about saving money on headers by disabling the air injection and purchasing the non-vvti tubes. I'd bet @dirtydeeds would know the answer to this one.

Interesting. I didn't realize the older consoles were so different from the newer ones. I just thought it was the tray infront of the cup holders that made em different. But even your lid is different

Hmmm I wonder if that's because the stock intake tube is not allowing enough air in at high rpms.
I've read that's the place where a straight intake tube with no air pockets out performs stock is in the high rpms. Also could be the less aggressive valve timing of the non vvti maybe?

My 02 sounds pretty damn sweet at all RPMs. Always has except for the ‘idle warming tick’ that went away on its own years ago.

12 hole injectors and 8 new Denso Coil Packs are doing her even better this past year.Better torque through all gears and better power at speed especially mid and upper.

The higher speed passing power has always been there on this truck. Always sounded very nice at high speed high RPMs kicking down into 3rd for a pass and shifting into OD.

Hmm, what do we have in common?

I have stock headers, MagnaFlow cats, stock injectors (just cleaned), TRD S/C, stock airbox with OEM filter (I have a K&N filter but removed it to place an OEM filter, MagnaFlow or flow master muffler (1 in 2 out), the stock resonator 03 with 292k miles.

Anyone else has a truck with emphysema at high RPMs?

Stock injectors and no 9th injector??? I would assume your running lean then with the supercharger. You should definitely look into the DDI injectors and a 9th injector for your supercharger. Underdog Racing Development probably makes a kit. Theirs out performs the old TRD injector kit that's no longer in production

17" Rims and 265/70R17 tires, 20" Light Bar, Power Stop Brakes, Diff Breather Relocate
Late yesterday changed the blown axle seal and did the diff-breather relocate, so today we decided to do the rear brakes.

Installed the Powerstop koe15314dk full kit (drums, pads, all hardware) and new wheel cylinders as well. We already have the front calipers installed with some OE style rotors / good pads and stainless lines, all working well (except my old rears of which one was coated/contaminated from the blown axle seal).

Some things didn't want to work well (mostly because rust, seized components, etc.), and after all was said and done, we've (I say we because my youngest son and I were doing the work together) ended up with the dreaded 'shudder'. Argh. Too late now to look more into it, will do that later...

BUT, also opened up and took at the throttle body ... holy *#$^ did that need cleaning. Ruined a perfectly good 0.99 toothbrush ... End result is SO much better throttle response, and a LOT smoother when moving up hills, etc.

Going to rest tomorrow and will look into the brakes further sometime Monday ... may need to see if those drums are properly round or not . . .

Sold my color-matched hard tonneau cover today, 100 clams. Cheap price for it, as it was in great shape, but I had no need for it. It came with the truck when I bought it used. The tri-folds I understand - but these one piece hard shell tonneau covers are a mystery to me. Heavy as $hit, can't remove by yourself, and renders your bed useless for tall items. Good riddance...

Wow I didn't know about an optional tenth injector. That's neat. Well DDI injectors and jba headers couldn't hurt :D :burnrubber:

Edit: you may even benefit from one of these intake tubes from Airaid or K&N. Mines the Airaid modular intake tube.

Made a difference for me at high rpms but you also have an airpump sitting on top of the engine so not sure if it would make any difference
I think URD or DDI also has an upgraded Y pipe
