I’ll run that positive post connector until I can grab a new one. Letting it all dry after I baking soda the crap out of everything, removed the rad overflow, moved some wire looms and then simple greened everything and scrubbed w a wire brush, rinse/repeat and now it dries so I can throw some rust inhibitor paint in there

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this driver armrest? You can see that I’ve tried to hot glue it but with our summers getting to 200 degrees, clearly that didn’t work. It looks like the vinyl has somehow warped that that’s pulling the foam back.

Yesterday I extended my helmholtz resonator to about 16-18". No resonance at all. I had some before, and I chopped up the tube to see if it made it better and I obviously had gone the wrong way. Now I really need to fix my exhaust leak up by (or at) the manifold because that's more obvious than ever.

Liquid nails...then wrap it in some newspaper, then use some duct tape to wrap the whole thing nice and tight while it dries. I don't think that level of heat will soften liquid nails.

Took of my skid plate today and uh-oh...

I'm no engine expert but I'd say there is transmission fluid leaking. Does anyone know if there's a fix for this? I've dumped much money into repairs and it seems like a new one pops up whenever something's fixed :(

That looks an awfully lot like you may have aa "A340 pink milkshake" going on...google it and then follow the process to determine if that in fact is what you have going on. If the truck is still driving well, you likely caught it in time. If it is a "pink milkshake" then..

    1. Don't drive it anymore.
    2. Replace the radiator immediately (Denso is your best value)
    3. Do a full drain and fill on you transmission 5 times

    Cross your fingers....good luck!

Check the transmission fluid on the dipstick. If it’s milkshake looking DONT DRIVE IT

get a new radiator and run 10 quarts through the transmission

More if you do drain and fills over a day or 2

I think I found the problem, looks like the radiator is leaking. Still strawberry milkshake?

potentially. Check your radiator, coolant overflow tank, and transmission dipstick for pink "milkshake" sludge. If you don't find any sludge, you're fine.

Looks like you just have a radiator leak to me. Kind of what I suspected because my coolant leak looks similar although much less serious. The pink coolant looks funny when it oozes out anyway.

Don't want any leaking glue attaching to your straps. Newspaper will wear/cut away if glue leaks.

    Good catch/timing.
I'll suggest a spray down with Fluid Film between paint dried & reassembly.

Tundra brought home a Treadmill yesterday.
...but I got delayed at work, and my help to unload couldn't help that late, and it's too heavy for me to offload solo, & the rains came early today... hopefully I got the 'mill waterproofed.

This one has a built in TV, I might actually keep using it.

I have an exhaust tick that I'm guessing is from a cracked manifold. I'm wondering if anybody knows of I can use pre 05 (non-vvti) headers on my 06 and do an electronic secondary air bypass?
To be short... Can the pre vvti headers fit a vvti 4.7? I'm not afraid of some exhaust work and I've seen pre vvti jba long tubes for around $530. Then again shorties are cheap and the same question applies. I'll probably go the cheap route if possible.

Round one of the ‘Third Times a Charm Trim Painting’. Also, I added some more insulation in quite a few more areas. She is getting quieter.

Tomorrow the doors get finalized in black.

Broke one of my ‘fixed 3 years ago’ control knobs after reinstall attempt after pulling the control panel to lube up those dial gears. Ordered up a 3 pack for $12.99.

I don't have a tick but I notice right before redline, I have this raspy breaking-up sound. I have the JBA shorties I plan to toss on. My mechanic said one header was leaking but they welded the crack. It only makes the sound in the last 2-300rpm before redline. Not sure if anyone has experience with this?
