How far out do the TRD wheels stick in relation to the fenders? Always liked those wheels but don't want spacers.

@speedtre that turned out great. I've been wanting to see pictures of your truck.

I agree with your assessment. I didn't want to say anything before but I think most of our trucks are too old now to see a big benefit from add-a-leafs. The old leafs just don't benefit. In hindsight, I should have saved my money for new leaf packs.

Does your steering feel any different? Mine feels more responsive after the poly rack bushings.

You just bought the truck and paid big bucks to have it professionally detailed. Aren't you going to lose your ass on that truck?

I highly doubt it. Seeing what clean 05 DC 4WD's sell for i'll break even easily.

The tires are narrower than stock, but the wheels have more offset than stock, so the stance width wise it's essentially the same as stock, which I like because the mud flaps still do their job.

Yeah just about anything beats the starfish wheels imho. Except for maybe the 2nd gen taco TRD sport 17s. I never liked them.

It was bad. My fix isn't much better if you see it in person up close. The so called Toyota natural white dupilcoror didn't match the trucks natural white and I didn't prep it right so it's already started to flake in spots
    20190727_170156.jpg
You can see in this old pic the big flake in the.middke. hard to tell the color difference but I assure you it's there. I thought I had a.newer pic but I guess not

I didn't. Previous owner did. That top pic is the day I bought it. I don't think my limited had the TRD package

Just got back from picking up the canopy. In the mountains. In the dark. LOL. Man, this thing needs paint.

Oh, and it turns out they're kinda-heavy. Ouch. My back. Two of us picked it up (because I'm dumb today we didn't brush off the several inches of snow/ice), turned it around (because it was facing the wrong way, LOL) and hauled it 20 feet through a couple feet-deep of snow and then hefted it onto the truck. I do NOT need to go to the gym for the rest of the week. Or month.

It's just a bit too-far forward. I need to move it back a smidge to get the door closing right. Needs a strut replaced, should replace the hinge if I can't repair it, but we'll see ... and it definitely needs paint. On the PLUS side, it's pretty-much prepped for paint as the exposure to the elements have stripped/faded all the prior lacquer, etc.

Oh, and all the wiring looks intact for the 3rd brake light. Here's the pics - but it's dark so apologies for poor quality:
    canopy_mounted.jpg canopy_mounted2.jpg

I'm pretty-sure I can clean it up and paint it to look decent in the spring. Total cost: $150 and about 1/3 tank of gas.

Oh and I also installed a new tailgate handle assembly and cleaned/lubed up everything that moves inside there. That works SO much better.

Oh. One more thing - I took a pic of the interior with the new LED's installed... This is ... :eek2: ... so vastly different, LOL.

    lights_inside2.jpg

    5 LED's installed so far: 2x Map lights, 1x Dome, and 2x Door/courtesy lights.

Hit my driver door with Noico this evening. As a Dynamat lifer I snagged a 10ft^2 just to see how good this stuff was. I’m actually super impressed and should be able to cover the pass door with what’s remaining.

All in all, on a 1-6 scale, I rate this about 3 Naturdays in difficulty.
