Yep. I made marks to install it exactly, all my u-joints are phased properly (now), I measured my drive angles with a digital angle meter.

I’m going to resolve this u-joint, and if that doesn’t work, I’ll bring it to the driveline shop to rebuild the double cardan and a balance.

the parts truck is rwd, so I can’t swap the shaft.

    Damn.

We’re the u joints no in phase before? I’d really be suspect of balance at this pint

I don't even know if it stated it would fit a tundra when I ordered it. If your wheel looks like mine or like the one in the picture you should be good to go. I don't know if there were any slight changes from the years, but it looks like the same wheel was used on a ton of vehicles. Maybe even the Camry and such. Although the car wheels could be smaller or something.

Funny thing is the Chinesium wheel cover arrived before my miromoto bulb holders and I only ordered the wheel wrap maybe 4 days before. Meanwhile my bulb holders just shipped and my new xenon depot h1 bulbs just showed up. Funny.

Totally different wheel. You have the same wheel as a 01-04 tacoma

Does it look different or is the difference somewhere not obvious?

Never mind I just searched and the difference is obvious. So yeah... If it looks the same as mine or as what's on eBay then go for it, but if it looks different it's different.

The u joints were somehow out of phase 90* from the PO. The rear slip yoke and joint was misaligned from the rest. The other 3 were in alignment. Dunno why or how.

I think my best course of action is to replace the u-joint first. I got a quote from the only place in my state that does drive shaft balancing and for a two piece it’s like $150.

Yea do the joint. If it still vibrates I have a good feeling it’s balance

The front shouldn’t affect you in 2wd. I wouldn’t bother with it. Just grease the u joints

Just made what is probably the single biggest purchase for my truck this far. The choice was either what I ordered or a softopper. I still want a softopper, but that will have to wait.
Expect a full set of teaser pics and a write up to follow. My only hint right now is that they are black with a small amount of tan and hopefully they aren't too hard to install.

Soon enough. Hopefully they get here fast. I do know they are custom made though. Not sure how long they take to make. I'm guessing 1/4 the time it takes to install haha.

I am kinda silly because my tires were slightly more expensive than this purchase. I guess that's a decent perspective.

Bolt On. Screwing is required though. Sits well and very durable.

I would consider starting a new thread and laying out everything you've done. It's too hard to keep track of in this thread. I think you've been asked about your carrier bearing 3 times. :D I know you mentioned you didn't think it was a tire. Is it possible a wheel or two is out of round? My old boss had a T100 with this issue. Ironically, it happened while pheasant hunting up your way in ND/SD. It seems like you've already replaced all the parts that could be causing this.

Looks good. Did the kit come with some sort of UV protectant? That is key in making it last longer. Either that and (or) protective lenses covers that are UV resistant will give you the best long-term results.

All three of my Sylvania kits did come with a UV coating and it's best to apply the coating and THEN apply a physical damage barrier. Belts and braces/belt and suspender technique. I did my wife's '05 Mazda with the Sylvania UV kit 4 years ago and then installed the Weathertech headlight covers on and they are still crystal clear to this day.

By UV, do you mean clear coat or something else? I just bought a 3M kit for our Rav4 and it didn't come with anything besides rubbing compound so I bought a few of their clear coat wipes. I read those help as a final step.

Yes, I mean the clear coat. The 3M kit I bought was the more expensive one and came with wipes. As mentioned above the physical barriers are a great step as well and something I'll probably add...but I'm thinking of a possible retrofit, so I'll hold off for now.

The Sylvania kit comes with a last step, wipe-on UV clearcoat that protects the newly polished/restored plastic surface from UV radiation which causes the hazing (along with fine physical scratches).
