Duct tape for immediately stopping the leak and super glue for keeping it from leaking. The last bad cut I got was one of the ones that needed duct tape asap followed by a brand new toothbrush under running water followed by Maker's Mark and followed by more tape and I still have cutting wheel material stuck in there.
    No damn fun cutting yourself.

Or having the tip pinched off in a door like my wife...

The crazy thing is that now you can't really tell. We learned that the nail bed was still in tact and it essentially grew back like a lizards tail. It's just bit shorter and stubbier.

That's crazy! I had to help pull a guys hand out of a machine a while back and it took just a bit more than that and he had to have the bone shaved. If looks pretty normal now but without a nail it's much more obvious. We mess with that guy and call him 9.9 and say I bet his wife really likes the finger without a nail haha. Looks like your wife got pretty lucky on that one.

I cleaned up those crunchies in my housing and put some silver tape in all three light reflectors. Works very well. That gasket got cleaned up too and reinstalled, but could use replacing. I put a very light bead of acrylic latex caulk around the rubber to lens connection side and its holding nicely.

    Sorry about your wifes finger.

Fun Factoids: Pops always told me the face models would use that digit to apply eye make-up due to it being the ‘most delicate with pressure’. Pops also said that God gave us 10 fingers, ‘Because if you lose one, then there are 9 more left’.

So update after a week of driving without the charcoal air filter.

Fuel economy, or lack thereof, has not changed in any appreciable manner. I am nearly convinced however that the truck runs smoother and easier. Must be nice getting a full breath of air.

However, I must correct my original guesstimate of horsepower gain. Corrected gain is now 2.8629 hp.

Not sure. I just heard about this kid that somehow cut off his thumb in shop class while asking a girl to prom and the doctor removed a toe and replaced his thumb with it.

Can the filter be reinstalled? Or, is it destroyed during removal?

I knew this guy who was born with 6 digits on each hand. He was the opposite of ‘a dime a dozen’.

When he flipped the bird, it doubled in meaning. One time he lost a toe, they removed his finger to replace it.

Here is the notes I followed after watching those two videos, and the section of the Factory Service Manual. When I do my left wheel bearing I'll take some pics and write it up.

From what I've read, it can be reinstalled. It just snaps in. I totally dicked mine though since I'm a dumbass and pryed in the wrong spot.

Gentler, more professional hands than mine should be able to pop it out in one piece

Friday is exercise the 4WD day. There is a 5 mile long road stretch close by with a 25 mph speed limit the entirety that has a stop light about halfway. She gets put in/out 4HI ‘on the fly’ a few times and then into 4LO at the stop light for a few feet of driving. Back into 4HI for the duration after the stop.

Keeps the mojo fresh in the actuators.

Does anyone know if this black spring would be the most likely cause of my break pedal squeak? I'm really tired of this.

I've tried that already. May replace this spring once I find the part #.
