Ordered what? He's talking about skid plates. I didn't think coastal made skids for our truck.

I meant to quote because wumbo, he ordered skids and was hankering for a rear bumper kit from costal. I ordered the rear bumper from them; joined in on the action with a local 4runner cat

Nice! I never could find someone to order with me. Oh well. Maybe when my tax refund comes in I'll get in touch with Brute Force or the local Houston shop, Shrockworks

In the hand model field its like putting make up or finger extensions short stubby fingers.

Seriously, I did it to refresh the black and bring all the trim into one color. The Bed Liner also adds a structural strength to the plastic (or whatever else you spray with it).

My 06 has the fob with the red light on the top. I think that's the big difference when looking for one.

I know for a fact I don’t have dealer installed. So red led won’t work. I had no power locks to begin with. All parts from a junkyard with a truck that had factory keyless according to the vin

    I deserve that!

I made some mechanical locking devices for my lower ball joint nuts that don't quite have enough thread to put a cotter pin through or to use the nylock. I think I'll take the ID down another .03" for more tighter goodness.
Also got my cheapo d ring mount from what I think @Professional Hand Model would call "big gurl". Fits a little loosey goosey but a little shim action should help that. Looks decent for under $30. Yeah I know my hitch needs some paint. Maybe that's a project for this week.
Edit- my d ring matches my hitch... Black and orange!!!

It's a kit that plugs into the 74 bulb outlet. I did it on my 19 and it was nice to see stuff in the floor when you're getting home in the dark.

I have the bilstien 6112/5160 setup top knotch in front and a 1.5” AAL pack in the rear(maybe icon?) it’s rides like a limousine.
@empty_lord i love the cement on older yotas, I wish they didn’t use so many pearl colors and more flat basic colors, Pearl is a bitch to color match and repair, and look right

Whew that is more expensive than I expected. I’m not really looking for anything huge like that, just something for a bit more clearance, but the AAL isn’t too expensive. Would you suggest getting a spacer leveling kit for the front, and pair it with an AAL for the rear?

5100s would be your most economical, and yes pair them with a spacer or spring upgrade

going on vacation this weekend, so no updates will happen with this. but did dabble with the tundra today and found out the speed signal and reverse signal can by hijacked from the passenger side in some junction blocks. no need to splice into factory wires, Trucks with the navigation actually already have the reverse and speed signal too, making the modern headunit swap easier. when i do get back i will find time to get those 2 wires added, figure out the parking brake wire and then run it all to the radio harness, pull the radio harness and clean it up to look nice and pretty with less clutter (radio harnesses on these trucks are seperate from the dash harness, unlike most toyotas.

Drove Mz. Daizé around yesterday. We went to the fabric store and then to a garden center for poinsettias. She really thought my running boards helped her get into the truck.

I wandered over to the hand tool aisle and grabbed some deep sockets for the impact wrench. LED strips that Fester recco’d came in yesterday. Everything looks good except the wire gauge is really anorexic model thin. The tape doesn’t seem sticky, but I expected that and can counter it with Fuze! Zzzztttt!

I like this VLED extension idea from drivers to the pass side. Those products seem well made from everyones reviews. One thing I did on the drivers side is replace the OEM footwell bulb with LED and it made a huge difference. Not as much as your pic which is very nice. Is that the 5000k spectrum?

I’m hoping Project Zzzzzzt! will be a success using flexible LED strip lights under the door jamb. The plan is to roll the strip slightly up the side jamb to light 3 areas simultaneously (footwell, running boards, and any puddles I park over).

It is the 5000K. These are pretty bright, and cast light down on the ground. It won't be as much as the LED setup you're doing, but it's definitely noticeable. You're going to be ridiculously bright with the strip lights.
    ETA: Here's the passenger side.

The wire gauge is similar on most strips I've found. It's one of those adequate deals, it doesn't need to be huge wiring for something that draws maybe .5 amps. I've seen some done with what appears to be unmarked CAT 5 network cable.
