Did the turkey baster suck and fill on the power steering fluid reservoir with Dex II/III.

Checked yesterdays diff and transfer case fluid change work for drips. None.

Trying to figure out if my 06 has a factory keyless system/alarm or a dealer installed one so I can order to correct key fob. Any help would be great. All I know is I have that Toyota Security box on the dash by the wheel

Installed a flowmaster 44 and removed the resonator from the stock exhaust. She sounds great. Debating on whether or not to chop the tail pipe after the axle

Mines a port/dealer install according to the part guy at my local Toyota dealer.

I ordered one off Amazon, it was only a gamble because i didnt know which system exactly that was installed, luckily i guessed correctly. Just google the dealer installed security system for your year and there should be a website that mentions which one is generally installed for your year, and then look on amazon for one that matches, will update with a picture of the one that works for my 05.

EDIT: here is the one that works for my 05 https://www.amazon.com/KeylessOptio...+key+fob&qid=1537208893&sr=8-3&ref=mp_s_a_1_3

I had my 5100's installed today. Front are set at 4th notch. Bad picture, so I'll get some nicer ones when the weather shapes up

I notice a little bit more body roll on corners, but I really have to be looking for it. The ride is slightly stiffer as well. Overall, I'm happy with it so far.

Here's the alignment sheet from after they installed the shocks.

There are 5 settings on the 5100's. 4th is the highest recommended for the Double Cab 1st Gen Tundras. It gives 1.6" of lift.

My alignment is good and the shop said they had no problems at all.

I'm interested to see how the shocks finally settle in and if I have much of a squat under load. I don't haul or tow much now, but next year I'm planning to put a cap on the truck. If I get a squat with the cap and my boat on the truck, I'll likely pull the shocks out and move the circlip to 3rd position.

Tell them to set the caster at 2.5 and they should be able to get the camber correct.

Hopefully the shop is better than the one I used, took them 3 tries to get it close. I ended up putting on SPC arms and then had to show them how to adjust them...

The 02’ barely drops down (compared to the old shocks) when hooking the trailer up. You guys might want to consider only going 2 notches up and leaving some rake if you are worried about squat. With that said, the shocks don’t seem to squat much at all under load so you may be ok.

Love to hear the feed back of those on the highest setting.

I could see a max of 500 - 600lbs (cap, boat, gear) in the bed and towing a max of 2000lbs eventually. I dont plan to load too heavy. Glad to hear these shocks dont squat too bad.

Thats about what I tow and carry on semi-regular basis. The other day on the scales the truck, bed loaded, and tow trailer load was a total weight of 8400 pounds.

    Handled nicely.

Turkey basted the power steering fluid again and refilled. One more time tomorrow should do the trick for a total refresh.

How many miles old is that fluid? Mine was potentially over 200k miles and looked like this
