Swapped out my dash panel for one with a working clock. Overall better shape than mine old one. Next job: bulb update.

Returned back from a research trip sampling hand exfoliation salt cores with Dr. Livingston and the salvage yard OG Toy Running Boards were delivered the same day. Installed in about 3/4’s of a day. Reinforced them with some light gauge Aluminum tubing and Fuze adhesive at critical leverage points under the chassis.

These things are very light (20 lbs? each) and form fitting. Rated to 325lbs. by Toy.

Painted them up with Rustoleum Bed Liner which is slowly being used on all the black trim (currently on rear bumper plastic, bed liner, truck bed). Up next are the side trims/fender guards and front bumper.

Truck is running great. Rain Water cab leaks seem fixed for good.

Noticing a sound from the front axle passenger area when the wheels start turning. Can only hear it in a parking garage or when driving next to a fence/barrier sound reflection. High pitched and squeaky. Sound is fast even though wheels roll slow.

4 of the eight OEM coils were all cracked like yours. Long straight cracks. Mine were a rusty burnt color, as well.

Everything I need is in there! The 1st gen of those Klein backpacks was the king, big waterproof tub, and it stood up on its own while open, full of tools. Now the next generation won’t even stand up while it’s closed, with no tools in it! At work I got a sweet Milwaukee tech backpack; that thing is awesome! Way more organization, pockets, it’s even got molle straps on the front to store more crap. Climbing a ladder with a Freon tank, gauges and a bag over your shoulder is pretty sketchy, i mainly got the backpacks for safety;)

So cab rear leak kept coming back. Turns out it was coming from the back glass assembly where the adhesive holds the assembly to the truck body.

Brought it to a glass place and they said it couldn't be removed without breaking and replacing. :monocle:

    Challenge accepted!!

Too a while but removed it without breaking!!

Now need to clean, prime area, and readhesive :fingerscrossed:

    Any tips???

2000 access cab with drop down rear window - LOL. Drive it around the block once before reinstall!
Only tip - don't be over zealous & clog up your drains with adhesive. You only need enough to seal it, excess does you no favors.

Fluid Film'd the frame, rear axle, leafs etc. Decided to wipe instead of just spray which made a big difference.

Also pulled out a plug(which wasn't very tight ) to inspect. They don't look to bad with around 27k on them.

Hey guys, slight issue with the truck that's just started in the past 3-4 weeks.

When I’m cruising on the highway in overdrive and go to give it throttle to pass someone, it feels as if the truck is missing or stuttering. Seems to usually only happen in this scenario or when the engine is under load (like going up a hill). Has anyone experienced this and have a solution or can point to a few things to check?

I'm going to try the easy things like cleaning the throttle body and MAF, but like most things, it's usually not the easy stuff that fixes problems.

I'm thinking it's got to be either fuel or spark related, and that very well could be the problem. As of now it hasn't thrown a code. It also doesn't do it all the time. Seems to happen once every few days or so.

Trans temps don't skyrocket when this happens either, which leads me to believe that it (hopefully) isn't a transmission issue.

Ironically enough, I filled up today and then had the issue resurface about 15 minutes later while I was cruising down the highway.

Depends on if you get air pump compatible or not headers.

Smog pump under the intake plenum. You can hear it some times. Sounds like a dentist drill

Didn't do much... The front rides great. Makes a rough dirt road with washes or ruts feel like a smooth dirt road. The little washes that are maybe 1-2' wide and 10" deep feel like nothing at any speed over 50. We also did some shooting, but it was far from being the main event of the day. I think we probably put 30-50 higher speed off-road miles on her with no problem. Needs rear work now.

Easy fix on the squeak? Think it was the brake dust shield/cover rubbing ever so slightly on the inside of the rotor. Tight clearance Clarence. A quick push with long screw driver and driveway test and its gone. I’ll do a wall sound reflect test tomorrow.
