Thanks, but I wish I was as good with mechanics as you are. I see the answers to questions people ask and I think this guy has probably worked on a few cars. I've just always wanted the shiny stuff and I've never wanted to devote 14hrs a day to my job so I have settled for working hard enough to have money to build some shiny things. I run a metal shop by day so it's actually relaxing and good for morale when people see that I actually can still fab.

Also, I want one of those Daytona Jacks.

Yesterday I waxed Gringo and cleaned her engine bay using Simple Green.

Replaced spark plugs and put a green serpentine belt on for S&G. Plugs didn’t look to bad(@145k last replacement not known)
Both 5 and 6 were had tightened. And maybe I wasn’t looking close enough on the driver side; but when I got to the passenger side, I noticed some hairline cracks in the coil, then noticed a even bigger crack along the seam on a couple of the coil packs. Also the serpentine idler had a little play in it so I will get one ordered along with some new coil packs.
    @Professional Hand Model
We’re your packs cracked in the same area and as bad or worse? 5AF62EFA-31D4-4428-AA33-0502826E93DB.jpg

$171.50 shipped from Amazon prime with a $50 credit applied. Bought Tuesday iirc, arrived today. Install took less than 30 minutes 20191109_132850.jpg 20191109_134303.jpg 20191109_141136.jpg W
reinstall stock air filter for off roading.

@empty_lord it sounds good. Not as noticeable over the roar of the v8 with my flowmaster 40 as it was on my 3.4 with stock exhaust. But still sounds good and feels good. Feels like it accelerates more evenly and comes alive even more in the high rpms. Really compliments the DDI injectors and the vvti at high rpms

Drove just over 200 miles and the needle is almost hitting half empty. Truck feels good, my brakes used to pulsate a bit and feel weak when the AC was on, no more of that. I added 5 psi to the rear tires after rotating, I was getting slight wear on the shoulders.

Got my plasma fixed and made some frame plates before I had to stop and watch my favorite little copilot for a bit.

Is that for one side or two?
Are you actually drilling out all those holes for mounting to the frame or are they just speed holes?

This is only the second set of sliders I've ever made so I'm figuring it out as I go haha. The first was pretty nice though.

Got that last dome replaced with a LED bulb. Much nicer now. Also gave the 4x4 system a workout with some errands around town in the snow storm. Lots of fun drifting corners. :D

Both sides. Not using all the holes but I didn't want to figure out where everything would and wouldn't go before making brackets. Truck is outside and doesn't fit in the shop right now so I'll adjust the holes as I go. I'll probably do plates inside the frame with more gussets too.

At least you have the tools, when I did our 4runner, I might as well have been cutting the steel with my teeth!(not really but I only have basic tools and a welder) I did soooo many test fits and re test fits; all while rolling around on gravel.(I plan on getting our driveway poured this winter/spring, that will be an epic godsend!) but they came out sweet and they work great, I did have to add another leg after a span deflected into the main tube but no big deal. I’m also tempted to think the design out a little more, for more capacity...............343C9E70-5C5B-440B-B8B4-596F6715B22C.jpg
that’s right, the sliders are air tanks as well!! It’s not much but I think between the two it’s a gallon or more of tank; only the main square tube holds air. But if I do sliders on TeeTee I will drill holes to let air fill the secondary tube for more capacity.
I like the idea of putting backing plates/ more gussets on the inside of the frame! (Runner has a boxed frame)
If your brackets work out, and you would make some more, flat, if it’s easier to ship, I would definitely want some

I'll keep you in mind if I decide to make more. I don't know how far I'll take it at the moment but I would guess there might be some market for the frame mounting plates considering there's a couple companies selling everything besides that as a kit. I don't mind weld on sliders but I really hate how everything around here gets rusty so I like being able to remove stuff for blasting and painting.

Hmm. Injectors need to happen on my truck. I also need to do some long tubes and delete the air pump. (Just did one today at work and remembered how much I hate them. 2300 job.)

I used to do a lot of kitchen equipment, mainly low temp and medium temp, big commercial Walkin coolers and freezers and I specialize in ice machines. Now I’m a lackey and do water cooled air conditioning! But I’m always down for an easy buck!

Mmm mmm Chinese LEDs and the first tube to my new front bumper. Still have to put the wire screen over the radiator. Guess I'll do that tomorrow morning before I go wandering. The plan is to eventually add two tubes going down to the crossmember with the front lower control arm mounts, two tubes going up to the top/front of the bumper, and a horizontal tube behind the factory bumper remnant to attach it better. From there who knows but I can keep it behind the factory bumper or remove that and build it out. Anyway we got our first fog of the season and I'm thinking these guys and an anytime fog light mod should help.

I want to delete my air pump. When you do it please make a thread on it with plenty of pix. That way we can run the cheaper long tube headers :)
