People do put them there. If you trace that wire the factory plug is in the driver side kick panel

The wire should go to a connector like this, 5 wires. 2 big and 3 smaller

That “aux” is for the cars with the diversity antenna. It has 2 antennas instead of one

I’m pretty sure the 00-02 tundras do not have factory brake controller wiring. I had to run my own on my 00.

This is my first experience with LEDs so forgive me if this is obvious. Once you plug them in, the protective rubber boot no longer fits. Is this just normal? The instructions are useless. I assume the fans need to breathe anyways.

I've read that its been done but takes some repositioning of a few things in the engine bay and you must custom fab an adapter for the SC to the engine. But I don't possess that kinda skill. I was.more so curious to see what one looks like and what they go for.

So the leds I had in my taco instructed to cut the dust boot to.make em fit. But I found a way to do it without cutting.
First does your LEDs had a removable ring in the 3 pointed formation that holds the bulb in the housing? If so, remove it.from the led. Install in in the the headlight and clip it in place. Stick the dust boot on. Shove the led in and twist it back into place with the 3 pointed ring.

Yes, the ring does twist off. The instructions don't mention anything about using the dust boot.

Made some minor trimming to the boots and got them to fit. Jon, did you ever have issues with them overheating?

Well, back to the drawing board for me. I've been banking on Victory using my truck to develop a rear bumper (and possibly front) for first gens, but I checked in with Brian again today and he doesn't have any plans to do so currently. I can't say as I blame him, the market just isn't there for him to justify spending all of that money in R&D costs.

Other than Brute Force, who makes a GOOD LOOKING rear bumper for a double cab? I am not wanting to hack my bed up for a high clearance either.

Oh, and I finally got around to painting a set of mirror caps. God it looks so much better. Probably this fall when TRS does their annual Black Friday sale, I'll pick up a D2S kit and a set of black headlights and re-do my setup.

Yeah I've been through that. The only other option for a double cab is the MOVE bumper, which looks like it was designed by a 4th grader. It's hideous.

I wish the NWTI bumper would fit a DC, I really like the way that one looks.

Yeah, I've been in touch with you regarding pricing. Right now it's at the top of my list, I'm just looking to see if there's other options first.

Have you contacted them? Maybe a custom unit is as simple as not shortening the bar stock so much. If the corners are the same... ?

I had the dtrl headlights and keep in mind the tech was new. My LifeTime LEDs couldn't seem to last longer than 4.months.or.so. I had em replaced.under lifetime warranty like 3.or.4.times. the final set they sent was the upgraded version at.no extra cost because I asked for my.money back. So I turned around and sold em

The only led bulbs I’d run are the Phillips ones. But 200 a set is a bit to stomach.

I wish there was a way to find brute forces rear bumper options and a better way to contact Billy. I've been trying to reach him off and on again for weeks.

I think that's the only option available but you could get some custom work done. One thing is that it will take some time to make. I waited about 7 weeks for sliders.

Very nice, but...with all your talk about needing a good rear bumper, what you really need is the rear half of this Tundra. Then, and only then would I be searching for a rear bumper.:welder::rolleyes:
