Will they or you do anything about that little bit of rust inside the tail light area?

I use a punch and tap a hole in the bottom of the filter to drain before I unspin.

It’s not too big of an issue. But he’s going to clean it up and undercoat it... that spots going to get rust no matter what. But it should never get too bad

@Darkness what headlights did you buy to do the retro or were they the oems. I’m still deciding on aftermarket headlights and retrofit or get Toyota ones and run 100w bulbs with an upgraded harness

and another question... how hard is it to open up the corner lights... no one makes black ones for the non crew cab trucks.. i want blacked out headlights.. the corners would drive me nuts chrome

My originals were too far gone from yellowing/sanding and pitted from 12 years of driving. I ordered a set of black headlights and corners off ebay or Amazon, can't recall. The headlights still had a lot of chrome so I took them apart to make them all black. The corners were black already.

For years the corners were the problem. I have heard they don't come apart the same as headlights but never tried them. I had a spare set but threw them out recently, wish I kept them now to try it.

hmm finding black corners for the 05-06 reg cab is impossible.. i may have to deal with 04 and older lights... dont know how it'll look

There is a difference in how they mount. I don't remember the details but I think there are tabs that the 05 06 don't use, if that's the case could always cut and sand them off.

A guy with an 03 gave me a set of 05 black headlights and said I would have to velcro the turn signals on. I never used them for that reason, that and because I didnt want black headlights and chrome corners.

hmm.. i may just leave the lights chrome inside then and just do the retrofit. output matters more than looks to me ultimately

wouldnt be too hard after looking at it to make a plate to let the oil all flow away from the plate.

Where did you order the skid plate from? Skid row directly? Missed out on the front skid for $250 shipped this last weekend.

I damn near went that route. Somebody on TS happened to post the black headlights with the then elusive black corners the week after I recieved my retrofit kit.

Are access cab and single cab corners that different?

Double cabs are different. That’s all I can Find. Reg and access are the same. But 05-06 they changed the style a little bit. So I’m not sure how the corners would fit. There are no black 05-06 reg/access cab corners sold

All Ive gotta say is damn, y'all some good people.

Yes, directly from their website. Are you saying they ran a sale for Labor Day? I'm an idiot and ordered before the sale. I didn't think they would discount them.

Well I finally found out I have 4.10 gears.
My code is A03B. I'm pretty happy with the results. Would have been nice to have 4.30 gears but at least I have mech. LSD. Still not sure which one though.

Doubt it’s the trd unit. But 4.10 is perfect in these trucks

Nothing much besides got this done and got to finally drive it. Still needs some finishing touches and a bit more time adjusting alignment

No, eBay had some that I was watching but I had no service all weekend and they sold out. Might just wait for BF to see if they go on sale again. Hate they are the only option for our truck.

Quick question: if your CV joints do the click click when turning in 4wd, do they have to be replaced or is there a fix? I know I've got a torn boot on the drivers side.
