Why not use the ARB OME shocks with their coils? That combo is the smoothest riding on and off road bang for your buck.

Driving this one for the last 16 years...Toyota hit a home run with the first generation Tundra truck, it's like a 90's Camry - pretty much bullet proof.

So I originally ordered the 5100s with Dobinson springs but was told after I made my order that Dobinson won’t have any in stock for a month (time of purchase) and another bit before I get them, so they offered to send me the ARB 885 springs. The ARB are almost the same rate and cheaper so I didn’t mind. They have maybe 10 miles on them but so far ride way better then the stock ones on the last notch. No clue how they compare over the Dobinsons

Installed new rotors, hoping to get rid of a slight vibe in steering wheel at 65mph (new tires, wheels, ball joints and carrier bearing haven't fixed it yet..)

Also installed the Wheelers Super Bumps. Not sure if it's a pain for anyone else but, I couldn't install them on the rear LCA. Put on front. Used super glue to glue the bolt to bumpstop and hand threaded up. Then tightened with supplied tool.

I gave my rear end some much needed loving.

    Did brakes and new KYBs.

I meant the ARB OME shocks for the coils instead of the 5100s. The Billy's are known to be rough. I was a Bilstein fanboy til I rode in taco with ARB OME coils and shocks

I honestly didn’t know. From my little research they sounded about the same. Now I’m questioning life choices lol. One day will be Icons so I’m not too worried.

So I heard they are meant for the Rear of the LCA. Just wondering why you couldn’t install them there? I have a set that I’m going to try and install tomorrow and thought about putting them on the front side, but the factory one broke off with threads still in the frame...

I don't think it matters front or rear. I run mine up front because it's closer to the coilovers.

Good to know. You'll see getting them on the rear LCA position is a bit more difficult.

I actually had to use my bottle jack and push down the upper a arm to gain more clearance. I ended up unthreading the top 3 nuts on the coil to get another 1/4" of extension. I still couldn't get the Allen wrench to get the threads started. Using the super glue saved the day to get everything started (and snug). Then just a half turn with the wrench to torque it down.

Ouch. Can that wheel even be repaired?

Is that a Cooper Discovery? Kinda surprised to see one fail like that. Are you going to call them? They might warranty it.

I'm glad no one was hurt.

yep bank account is running low from it..

I will be checking into the wheel repair tomorrow before I leave out on business again... While I'm gone get it repaired hopefully..

Yep that's a Cooper discovery at3... It should be under warranty but we will find out... After looking at it good this morning it had a defect on the tread side.. manufacturing defect..

I'm fine... I just need to add grease to the assembly for the spare tire holder that's for sure and spare which from 2003 is now toast too as it's dry rot..

Spares get neglected and dry rot is scary. My spare is from my last set of tires and the dry cracks accelerated from it being in the bed. I'll look for a better used tire soon.

Glad you're okay and your damage was minimal @Mike

Took a wire bush to the rear axle and hit it with a spray can afterwards. I probably should have hit it with some POR but the rust isn't that bad. Gave the leaf packs a coating as well.

they're probably fine if they use a quality uniball.. but i personally wouldnt run uniballs on a daily, i did, the balls get loose pretty quick compared to regular balljoints like the SPC arm. they wont break like the regular balljoint, but ive never seen a SPC break
