Indiana Green Lighted the warranty repair, so I dropped the topper off this afternoon.
This is the first time the truck has been without it's Leer top since 2003, and I must say that it looks damn good topless. I'll post a picture after the remnants of Barry O pass by... I'll be topless for an estimated 6 to 8 weeks!

It will be sweet if they opt to replace vs repair. You could get a brand new one! Either way, it's good that they honored the warranty.

looks like I have some cutting and welding to make these buckles work. Oh well. Should be strong and safe to use as a belt when I’m done...

@Outbound that's shitty. See if they can replace it, otherwise you'll have to bake it in the oven and pop the lens off. Then bake it back together. Not hard but it's a messy process.

Yeah. He should be good hopefully. My side marker leaked and I got a whole new pair through Big Gurl.

I’d silicone it up and wait for a new set. If they don’t send a new set, let your CC company deal with the refund then order another set from another company.

Can someone explain how to do the CV boot mod? I bought hose clamps and tried to stretch the outter cv boot in, but it wont budge. The fins are not that close, I'm on 4th notch of billies.

Yup. When I had stock leaf springs I filled my bed with sand twice to deliver to my brothers house. It was about a mile away on a secluded road, not sure how much weight it was but I was riding just above the bump stops.

I needed some sand for a patio project and went to my local guy. He asked,"You want a full yard? I see Tundras do it all the time." And without thinking said yup since I had just gotten a yard of mulch the prior weekend. While he was dumping it I had that oh shit moment when I realized that play sand is close to 100lb/ft3. Luckily its about half a mile from my house because it was 100% on the bump stops and they looked like a can of busted biscuits. I couldn't get it unloaded that day and leaving it like that scared the crap out of me so I used my jack on the trailer hitch to take some weight off of it.

First of a 4 day roadtrip to Kalispell, Montana and Flathead Lake. I've got the bed completely loaded down with luggage, coolers and dog supplies under the tonneau, covered 533 miles with no issue except that the engine definitely has to gasp a bit once you hit inclines at elevation. Easily solved by turning off overdrive. Averaged about 16.5 mpg today, figure that's probably around the best I'm going to see with the 265/75s since 18 was the best with the 245/70s.

Another 420 mile jaunt down today. Truck did great, wife and I are ready to be in Kalispell and not driving anymore though. Pulled 19 mpg from Farmington, NM to Moab, then promptly got about 15 from Moab to Salt Lake City via Arches National Park. Tomorrow we'll be in Yellowstone, not sure where we'll stay the night yet, but likely on the north or west side of it.

Getting ready to drive back home from Mexicali now. What a long trip ahead. 227 miles, 5 hours if I'm lucky.
