Me too, mine was loose already so I figured while I had it off I might as well paint it and see how it looked.

Yes indeed. I like em, got em about a year ago and they still look brand new. Granted, I only do about 3600 miles a year, but the truck sits outside gettin beat on by the elements(not the honda).

Well crap, I've been back and forth if I want to do that. I think I will hold off for now then. I hate that hyperflash! I just got my resistor for my LED headlights so I'll be tackling that one first!

    Thanks for the info!

There are LED flashers available for our trucks so you don't need to use resistors for the signals. I've been eyeing this one for the tap to pass function but there are cheaper ones available.

Zevo is the brighter of the Sylvania LED bulbs. Their flagship.

LL equals long life on a Halogen bulb. Brand new halogens are very bright. I replaced all my exterior bulbs but stayed Halogen LL, due to hyperblink, on the brakes and turn signals. The old to new halogen refresh was double the light almost because the filaments are new.

Zevos LED cost about $20-25 a pair (lifetime warranty). Worth it on the Rev and Cargo lights.

Sylvania Halogen LL about $5 a pair. For me, it was a no brainer KISS method decision.

Worked on the Turbo today. The stealer gave me the wrong trans fluid (based on the correct VIN#). Not their fault, but glad I looked at the plug nomenclature to confirm before the first pour and sorted things out.

    Could have been real fugg.

Changed out the engine oil and did a suck and fill on the brakes reservoir.

https://www.amazon.com/SmartTap-CF1...s=tapturn&qid=1560548148&s=electronics&sr=8-1 i run this in my avalon, no more hyper flash with leds. and you get some cool little features (like lane change blink 3 times when lightly tapping the stalk, strobes when you have the hazards on and turn the signal lever.. etc)

Cool concept, but the first review comes down to the type of LED (quality) you install.

I thought the headlights were the only halogen and the other exteriors were incandescent

I have LEDs in everything except the turn signals just for that reason.

You can get some other bulbs as halogen. Problem is they run very hot. I've seen some plastic light assemblies melt & scorch from them.

Like the 3rd brake light on our first gens.

Mine has melt holes just from regular incandescent OEM originals. I ended up using silver tape inside the wells of the 3rd brake assy to act as a reflector as the original integrity had diminished due to the melt.

I used 3 Zevos up in there. Also, cleaned and acrylic sprayed the acrylic lens shield for enhanced powers.

Where did you get those tail light guards? I have searched online but have been unable to find any manufacturers. They look great on your rig.

eh the strobe thing doesnt matter to me much lol. i put it in the avalon for lane change, the bulb you use wont affect the function. its just a nice little feature i like from newer cars. i plan on getting one for the tundra too

Shouldn't need resistors with this. I haven't done it yet, but they list it as an alternative to doing resistors.

Should have keep reading, others beat me to it. The Smart Tap is interesting, might go that direction. Just have to decide if the 3 blink function is worth the extra coin.

Rotated the tires and aired them down from 37psi to 35psi.

Confirmed my rear peep hole drum star adjustments a few months ago are about as tight a tolerance as possible as each drum is locked on/in the OEM 16 year old drum groove slot. No way to remove without a reverse peep hole maneuver which ain’t happening soon.

Felt a 12 to 6 o’clock click on the passenger rear wheel test.

Dumb question, but is that just a replacement relay that fixes the need for resistors and I can run LED in my turn signals without hyper flash? That would be amazing for only $13!

Ya it's a weird feeling. I like simple wheels. I hate beadlock rims. But for this price I couldn't resist.

    This is what I wanted.
