Sounds like they didn’t test drive it after the work was done. Thats the only way to get it right from my experience.

They probably hustled on the work. Filled it and done with driving it farther than the parking spot. Probably needs about a 1/2 gallon more coolant if the res is dry.

Cleaned the throttle body. The dirty spots on rag are about half the soot I removed just going in through the front butterfly. Last time I did this about 6 months ago, I removed the throttle body assy and cleaned it from the backside as well as the front. This was much easier today. The grime from 6 months driving!

Added about 3oz. of CRC limited slip juice in the rear diff as I’ve noticed a small grumble on sharp turns from a stop and suspect the LS clutch needs the extra fortification even though the existing diff oil is newer Lucas for LS. Read some reviews on the CRC where a few 1st Gen Tundra and Taco guys had the same problem whether using Mobil1 LS or Lucas LS diff oil.

Replaced the transmission filter on the Mz Handmodel car. Took two hours of forearm skin tearing arm wrestling with the hose clamps not the mention the wires and other crap in the way. Here is the post mortem pic. Looks dirty with 36k miles. Never mind the metal shavings from the saw blade cutting.

That's exactly what happened. They told me.it would be ready Friday and I got there as they were closing and they had just rolled it out maybe 10 mins prior.

I learned my floor jack is no longer tall enough to lift my front tires off the ground. Anyone recommend a jack?

I had to replace my wheel speed senor with the tire on. It wasn't difficult but made it harder to reach. We will see of this fixes the false ABS activation. I drove it for an hour and it never happened.

I also did another drain and fill of the transmission today. 4 quarts out, 4 in.

I’ve got a Harbor Frieght Daytona 3 Ton. It’s great. It lifts up to I think 24.5”. But it’s one of the highest lifting floor jacks out there (besides the Pro Eagles)... but this one is under $150

I typically jack it up under the lower control arm and put the jack stands a little farther back on the control arm.

If I need some more height I've got some 2ft lengths of 2x12 to stack up.

Todays work on the truck took about 30 minutes tops. It was the other car that set me back 2 hours for a simple filter. Starting to focus on the other vehicle a little bit now that the truck is tightened up for the most part.

Its all in the planning. Efficient use of time is time wisely spent. Spend extra time doing something right and it frees up the time wasted to re-fix a rush job which frees up time for other stuff on your list. I only like doing something once properly the first time.

Plus, I am a high energy guy. Highly focused and not easily distracted.

Cut a couple of scrap 2x6 blocks and keep them in your backseat well with your OEM jack. You can use them for your service work with your floor jack and will definitely need them if changing a spare on the road.

    Your transmission is loving it.

Not a fan of how low I had to make it, so I might buy a 15 degree bend to raise it up a couple inches while still avoiding the leaf spring.

It sounds good. Not as good as it did with no muffler and a rusted out resonator, but good enough. I’m working on an exhaust video. Hopefully have it done tonight.

Is that how that show worked? I'm too young to remember, although I did grow up in the 90s and remember watching reruns of all those 60s and 70s and 80s shows. I was really into CHiPs and A-Team and Night Rider.

I learned how the show worked by watching youtube. Basically, be careful what you wish for is the main theme along with a secondary theme of always listen to Ricardos advice. Tatto is the snitch, but never gets stitches.

I like those other shows, as well. I pity the fool!

I did a magnaflow knockoff from a company on Amazon. I had one on my Titan and I liked it and it sounds even better on my 06 tundra. I just did a turndown after the muffler about 3'. I did a helmholtz resinator when I installed the muffler but it actually gave the exhaust a whistle at higher rpm so I removed it. Still sounds great in my opinion, even if it has just a hair more resonance than I'd ideally want

A cheery bomb into a 2nd cherry bomb sounds pretty good on my turbo SAAB. ;-)
When I extended the 3" exhaust past the rear apron all the resonance went away.
