Today I propped my topper up with four 6x4's on the bed rails, to set the thick front weather stripping. I'm still going to have to go back with a little silicone to get it air tight, but it's pretty good. I thought about double bubbling the sides, but the ARE goes over the bed rails and has a thin foam layer already. I did however, put bolts thru either side of the topper and bed rail, toward the tailgate. I noticed with the old topper and even up to 8 clamps, that the vibrations from offroading would spread the sides and make the gaps along the rear window wider. So I'm still using four clamps, but the bolts will prevent any shifting. Then I weather stripped the tailgate on the bottom and sides.
Next is to change the lock, but it's hot AF right now. So I'm chilling in the pool. Will finish up tonight, when it cools down.
Also going to vacuum, sweep, and wash the inside of the bed and topper tonight.

I offered this dude $80 but he hasn't answered, despite seeing my offer.

They're unobtanium I wouldn't fuck around. IMHO, that's a fair price he's asking considering the condition.

That said, you need to know that's from a DC, and the DC and AC units use a different sidewall carpet. The bases have the same part number IIRC, but the zip-up sidewall is a totally diff't part number.

No grabbing that I can see. Jacked it up and didn’t have a lot of play in the wheels either.

The only thing that I noticed was one of the rack bushings/rubber seemed to be torn, but that might be a future project since I’m not positive that’s causing the clunk at low speed turns and bumps. I feel like I can hear it in the front, but I’m going to try pb blast on the leafs and see if it goes away.

Good to know. He's had it listed for months and lowered the price once or twice. I been keeping an eye on it since it went up. So either it's sold and he never took it down, or he might be ready to take my low ball offer. Either way, I'd give em up to $120 for it, if he'd answer and wants to haggle.

Thank you for that write up. I had started to layout my wiring the same way but had to remove it because my daughter needed the truck before I could finish it. I'll be hooking the camera up to Master Tailgators rearview mirror instead of a new head unit. I already have that installed and just need to wire it up as well. Hopefully have it finished this weekend.

Tomorrow the truck will be getting new Cooper tires put on. Have to get it done before the rebate offer expires on the 31st.

@Dakillacore may be able to snap a pic of how it comes out of the harness tailgate*, and pop out the tail light really quickly to show a pic of the wiring as it comes out, with the grommet and whatnot. There's a little cubby in the tail light housing where we were able to neatly tuck the excess power wire into the housing, to prevent excess everywhere.
