How much total weight are you pulling? Trailer and load?

Also, where did you get your heavy duty front bumper?

What? You don't have a scale at your house?

I was just curious. I thought that was a scissor lift you had there. I'm not sure how much my single axle trailer weighs but I could figure it out. We go to the landfill at couple times a month and have to go over the scale there in and out and the weights are on the receipt. My single axle is 1/8" tubular steel throughout so I'm sure it's heavier than most single axles. My two axle is 1/8"x2"x2" angle and I think it's around 2,000 pounds.

How does your truck do pulling that total?

Do you have trailer brakes and a brake controller on that set up?

For UBJs seemed like advance had the most comprehensive kit but haven't used it yet.

Looks like this is their puller set....

But haven't used it either bc already have a bunch of pullers.

Yeah I had a combo of different kits from AutoZone and Oreilly. The UBJs were effin tight on my truck. We had to cut off the threads so basically just the ball was left. Otherwise it would just pivot around when we started pressing.

*EDIT* yeah we had to stack a bunch of the rings on each other to get it all to work.

Drivers side popped right out. Only needed the big wrench for the LBJ. Tie rod came apart with a standard ½” socket wrench.

These were recall LBJs from Toyota. There’s some grease leaking around the opening of the rubber seal, but that could have been from me pulling them off. Both of them feel fine when moving them around and the truck drove fine. I’ll look up how many miles they’ve done and post up later. I know it’s over 100K. :anonymous:

I had to pull my dad's mower out of the ditch twice now. You'd think he'd learned his lesson the first time when he almost tipped it over.

A friend of mine who is a lawn professional called me when she drove her ExMark zero turn into a pond. I pulled it right out with my AC. Fortunately the intake and exhaust were above water level and it fired right up after we pulled the plugs and checked the oil to be sure it wasn’t hydro locked.

Truck pulls it fine on flat ground. Hills would be stressful as I would be scared for my old transmission.

    trailer has surge brake system.

If I remember correctly, the TRD has bilstein 4600s on it.

I had to orchestrate equipment and get in and hook up this swimmer back in 2015. Only about 3ft deep there. Not with my Tundra though o_O

Are bilsteins stock on all of them? Hard to find a true answer online - figured I’d throw it out. If a seller is selling a truck and I ask and they say I have no idea I’m hoping they can take pics of said suspension for me but often they just don’t know. Now I don’t know.

I wondered if you had hills to deal with. So far, mine has pulled about a 4,000 pound load up a long 5% grade on the interstate without issue. Honestly, I don't intend to pull much more with it.

Or maybe your non-TRD has a TRD sticker? J/k. Yeah it’s more likely the shocks were replaced.

I thought it was a lawnmower but I realized it's not. What is it? We've had people in my area drown while mowing. Accidentally driving into a lake or pond and getting pinned by the mower.

TRD sport and I believe the SR5 came with Tokico shocks. Not sure about limited. TRD off-road had Toyota branded Bilstein 4600's.
