Today used the Tundra to deliver a client's new mower battery (put it in for her, of course) then stopped for a young mother on the road. TWO FLAT TIRES AT THE SAME TIME. Both rear tires. One had a nail and the other a deck screw in the sidewall! SMH

Anyway, plugged the one and changed the other for the spare.

We used her screw jack.....I really need to get a cover for the Tundra and put a trolley jack in the back.

Mine will let me access everything while driving with the exception of clearing codes via headhunt. I can still do it from my phone. I've had the wifi and the bluetooth dongle. If yours is wifi ditch that POS and get the bluetooth one.

Actually did something to the Tundra (yesterday).
Been rocking both styles of tail lights since October when the passenger side got broken, got a replacement from Rockauto yesterday.

Slowly but surely. Hoping to have the welder fixed soon so we can mount it and fit the side brackets. All done with grinding though. Once done...she's off to get Linex'd....

Today was finishing up the u-joints and carrier bearing. That was a bigger pain in the ass than I hoped, mostly because I haven't done u-joints since about 1995. Now that I have the technique figured out again, I could do the whole thing in less than 2 hours. Though hopefully I won't need to do this again anytime soon.

Got the Spicer carrier bearing. I call tell from paint marks on the shaft that it was done sometime in the past, and they used some non-OE bearing so the rubber ripped out. The bearing inside still seemed fine though....

So far in the past 4 weeks I've completed LBJs, timing belt and now driveshaft. Need to check trans fluid to make sure it's not low after losing a little fluid when I took the rad out.

Next is a new head unit, speakers, powered sub, and backup camera. That might have to wait till it gets cooler again.

I like these ones, they remind me of my T100 lights and I think look cleaner. I do like the smoother profile of the originals though

(Yesterday) hauled 660 pounds of garbage in bags to the landfill. Most of it was grass clippings we collect and remove with the self propelled mower.

Had a bit of excitement when the guy in front pulled up on the scale too early and was told to back up. He couldn't see me behind him so I had to lay on the horn while backing up myself as the guy behind me didn't notice me backing up at first and there wasn't time for me to jump out and tell him. Fortunately he was able to back up as there was no one behind him.

Cluster F*** in the making there! Errant driver was in a [rented] Uhaul truck pulling what I expect was a rented dump trailer. He jack knifed the trailer backing up so he really wasn't likely to be able to back into me anyway but I didn't know he was going to do that when it all started.

Bit more excitement at home but that didn't involve the Tundra. *Lesson learned though: I am NEVER letting anyone talk me into doing that again!:angrygirl::annoyed::censored::crapstorm:

I had it stuck in my head STFT were constantly updating based on input/load, and LTFT were based on the average short term values, averaged over a set period of time/trip, and would move less than STFT.

But both are incredibly variable, changing relatively dynamically. I expected the LTFT to see a bit less movement, but I've never watched the LTFT/STFT over the course of a trip, mostly because I don't watch live data much at all.

The Candy Corn lenses look good, but they do not illuminate as well as these.

The roof of my cap is 53" above the floor, they are custom built so you could probably get one made to you specifications

So full swap (IIRC for about $150 shipped - the replacement brand from carparts.com came as eagle eyes, apparently $123 /set currently before shipping. Found could call to verify part #s and get offered discount too.)
    Eagle eyes.jpg
Palm strike removal technique apparently revealed why the OE markers were gathering condensation.

Likely polish and clearcoat the OE lamp assemblies for future lighting upgrade.

"It'll make it until Spring" is what you have to keep telling yourself. Even if you have to say it for several consecutive years about the same windshield.

Made another round trip from NC to NY, creeping up on 225k miles. The truck performed amazingly as usual. Hit a couple of nice breweries during the trip, including Personal Best in Ithaca, NY. This was the "Fear of Hype," a DDH Double Hazy IPA. Thinking of doing the transmission fluid and oil pan gasket this week.

The driver side vent in the center control panel was loose and pointed straight up under its own weight. The friction piece holding it in place had failed like many others here. Pulling the center control panel and removing the snap-on extension gave me access to all the edges of the vent. I used some isopropyl alcohol to clean those edges. Then I applied the loop side of some adhesive backed velcro to the bottom and top/inside of the vent.
Once reassembled, the adhesive loop panels provided the right amount of resistance to hold the vent in place in any position. This is especially important as my area is now consistently in the 90s and I need A/C! It was also the first time I got to use from Harbor Freight. It was well worth $13.

Today we got a late start (I was a little sick this morning, I think from all the stress yesterday) anyway.....we still did 8 yards. Tundra pulled the short trailer. Uneventful.

    It's been a stressful weekend.
I'm trying to pull myself out of the mental hole I've been in since Independence Day morning. I'm not going to be derailed. I have to get back in the saddle. Time marches on.
I guess I need to pick a Tundra project this weekend. I got several I've been putting off. But only a few I actually want to do, regardless of the heat. But I'm still waiting on some parts.
