Now that i have a set of 5 spoke steelies, i oughtta line it to be a water tank than mounts in the bed. Put one of those live laugh love vinyl covers on it.

The hoard says i can bolt it to a titan front wheel bearing & make it a hose reel. Or i get an AI doodad that runs a stepper motor hung weight… kinda reminds me of whatever sorta suspension lexus & bose worked on. Or those gyro’s on boats or buildings.

i think its gonna be my front bumper. Imagine the fun of a ‘bumper’ on a spindle. Lol.

Being a from WV, I appreciate the post. Yes, people here are generally friendly. I enjoy having conversations with random people I've never met before and that is pretty easy to do here. :)

I think though, it's more of a rural area thing. I have noticed, people away from cities, tend to be more open to other people. I think city life tends to draw and perhaps encourage a certain haste, tension, and hostility towards strangers.

I need to drop and inspect my spare too!

My 1972 truck, which my father bought new, still has the same spare tire on it that came with it, never once used.

So I replaced my spark plugs yesterday. First time doing that, thanks for the input from you guys. Went pretty smoothly until I made a stupid rookie mistake.

@shifty` is gonna say, "I told you so!", "Why wouldnt you unplug your battery, you need to anyways to let the computer relearn after doing your plugs".

But I accidentally touched the torque wrench to the positive terminal on the battery for a split second and got some sparks. All seems to work fine, truck started right up after changing the plugs and alternator is charging the battery and the battery has good voltage. Hopefully nothing got damaged from this but a serious reminder to myself to not be an idiot, lol.

I ACTUALLY DID SOMETHING TO MY TUNDRA TODAY! :)

Ordered an OEM tailgate latch and a set of tailgate cables as mine are somewhat frayed.

Replaced MAF and noticed coupler cracks. They don't appear to be all the thru.
But I guess I need to find another in case. Local auto parts stores didn't have any on thos size.

Reinstalled skid plate for 4hr round trip to north GA and back this week. I’m highly skeptical this will help improve my MPG in the slightest, but it can’t hurt to test. Meanwhile, front/center hole for skid has threads mangled. Tighten it down, it gets snug, then bumps back a thread. Not sure if a simple thread clean out may help, will hafta try next time I pop it off.

Vato Zone had one, but you had to buy a damn intake tube kit for $22 to get it. But it had the clamps and jump hoses.

I didn't want to buy the tube.
They had one the right diameter but about half the length

Yeah, I was looking for a bit. I'm grateful @PNW15 was willing to share some goods.

I found what I needed at Summit Racing, but after tax and shipping it was only $2.50 less than the whole shebang at Vato Zone, and once I added in the clips, even if I picked up, it was more.

I'll have to check Advance and Napa next time I have it apart. So far no codes, none pending either. I think the new MAF is doing the trick :fingerscrossed:
Pretty sure the old one was original at 260k miles. Plus the throttle plate was pretty nasty. Cleaned it with a paper towel and MAF cleaner. Will do the seafoam spray tomorrow when I have a helper to hold throttle at 2k rpm. Might drive the 06 to work tonight just to see if the CEL comes back. I just let her warm up in the driveway for about five mins then drove her to the gym and back earlier.

Whats the bolt size for the skidplate? I tossed mine in a place I couldnt possibly forget...but theres just one problem..

Sticking to the topic- Ive order Bilstein 5100s for the rear. Now that my truck is registered, I have dscovered its way too soft on speed bumps. Need to do the fronts but thats more of an investment
