Iirc, air lockers lock immediately when engaged. The eatons don't and need some amount of revolution to engage. Nothing like a full revolution of the tire, but like 15-30° or so. I could be wrong though.

I am still troubleshooting some wireless CarPlay issues with my Pioneer receiver. It started acting up a couple of weeks ago. GPS signals were erratic, speed on Google Maps showed 140 MPH, etc., and then it wouldn't connect.

I updated the firmware on the receiver today and then decided to rip everything apart and connect the VSS wire (speed pulse sensor). After some searching on the forums, I found it was green with orange wire on the ECM (behind the glove box). Wire-tapped that and routed it to the back of the receiver. I also had to replace a bulb in the HVAC knob while I was in there.

The good news is that the speed pulse sensor is now working, and I am not getting the error messages that the speed sensor is detached and "unusual speed pulse detected." I reset the 3D calibration. And it's working well. The speed pulse is working while I am driving correctly, and the 3D calibration shows the speed pulse increasing over time.

However, the wireless CarPlay is still not connecting. I did see that the latest iOS update had a number of CarPlay issues, which have not been fixed. So, two steps forward, one step back.

The shop that installed it made it clear to lock it in at a stop. I haven’t ever been in a spot in town where the normal 4x4 couldn’t get me out of it.

Got some use out of mine: hauled a weedeater over to the shop to be serviced and hauled groceries back from Walmart. Also made a separate trip to refill part of the gas can supply.

I could probably afford to start doing some squats to get better at climbing up into the bed. This is a big truck!

Ran from VA to the UP of MI and back.... to grab a camper. In the last 13 days, she's flawlessly done 5200 miles.

I’m not surprised in the least. How many vehicle owners would be willing to set out on a 5,000 mile trip in a 20 year old vehicle and wholeheartedly expect to make it to their destination? What year is your Tundra? Good looking truck!

2006...around 184k on her now. I'm a bit OCD with preventative maintenance....and like to think that those things help. They definitely do with confidence if nothing else...

Well I feel like I scored big time with buying parts off that wrecked truck. Same color code as mine and the thing was in Amazon condition, other than being totaled. I got a full leather interior, a clean new truck bed, tonneau cover, knuckle, hub, CV axles, calipers, rotors, driveshaft and center console.
Now I have to figure out how to swap the beds with little to no help and sell my old bed, rear seats, front bench seat. The guy threw in upper control arms, UBJ, and LBJ, rear shocks (brand new). I don’t think I’ll sell the LBJs out of safety for other members, but if anyone needs temp UCAs let me know. Besides that, how's that pioneer been for you? Any issues with the touch screen lagging? The response I've tried in stores hasn't felt as smooth as other brands and often hear people complaining about it. And how do you like using the larger screen, looks like minimal if any blockage on the side of the hvac vents?

I wish I knew what sticker or iron-on is supposed to be on my driver side sun visor. I have a warning label on the side that faces the ceiling, but the side that faces toward me, there’s a clear sleeve with (I think the 4WD info on) a piece of paper, and a missing label.

Can you send a picture of the visor and location of the missing label? I can do some research on my side for you.

Upgraded the dash/cabin lights. Photos don’t do it justice, it’s definitely a lot better. Also fixed my drive light lol

Your head unit has that wire on a 5–pin connector in the dash behind the radio, why’d you tap off the ECU bundle?

EDIT: All 2005-2006 trucks have this here - 2 wire, 5 pin grey connector in the middle here. Those wires are the speed sensor and reverse trigger. I just ordered a wire adapter from China to tap off mine. I’m sad I couldn’t find one. Maybe I need to order 1,000 connectors in bulk and tap the wires off, then sell the damn things on here for like $10 shipped or some shit.

Huh. Yeah, all mine have been steamed off, I guess. Will have to take a pic. It looks like a big square that’s missing, versus 3 individual items.

I had to put on reading glasses and go check…. You are correct. Those 3 decals pictured are on one large sticker. Zoom in and you can see the clear border about an 1/8 “ around the edges.

Mine has the three decals, and the three sided holder for the 4wd operations card. But they are separate, and also my primary visor is fabric, not vinyl. My secondary visor is vinyl.

I have the holder, but no card as I'm a 2WD peasant. I just use it for my registration/insurance card holder.

It is the kids pictures holder in mine as well. I have probably 6 pics of each kid through the years in there stacked one on top of the other. Can't bear to remove them even though the "kids" are 21 and 25 now....

    Quite the score!
The bed isn't super heavy just awkward. A couple decently strong guys could do, 3 for sure. Here's a video where Timmy the tool man does it with straps and an engine hoist, it's kinda sketchy at one point..

    Thanks.
I've got some i-bolts and ratchet straps that I use to take my topper on and off but I need a strategy. It's a cluster to get my topper down and moved, take my bed off and out of the way, and then the new one off the trailer and lifted on. I may have to see if someone in town has an engine hoist or a big as dolly that I can use.

I used to keep my Texas Off Highway Vehicle card in mine, but I haven't paid for one in a few years. They stopped requiring one to get into Jambo. But typically you do need one to get into Barnwell Mountain otherwise. That's the only place I've needed it before.Texas doesn't have much public land, but some parks that get state funding require em.
