I looked at that, but I didn't see many reviews. I figured the bushings were less than $4 each for OEM so why not go OEM. If you're already doing the leaf spring bushings it's not too much more for the shackles. It just all sucks.

Installed the FJ Cruiser windshield spray nozzles. WOW. Can't believe I only just recently learned about these.

Old on the left, new on the right. To my untrained eye, I wouldn't have expected the new ones to have the better spray pattern, but they sure do.

Helped my 6'3" dad install front and rear Seat Jackers on the 2003 AC. Ultimately, we removed the top spacer on the rear leaving just the 0.75" one. He's gonna drive around like that for a while to see if he needs to add any of the other rear spacers.

@The Black Mamba did a great writeup on these, including showing side by side spray patterns with one of each installed. Very enlightening. Pretty sure the FJ ones were the same part number as my 2006 AC nozzles tho. FYI to @CodyP on that, look at your nozzle closely before buying the new part.

I don’t think I realized they made rear spacers too. I take it once installed you can’t install the cover piece over the seat rail/end anymore? I was thinking about installing a set on my passenger side so my amp would have more room to breathe.

I miss driving my truck. I really need to just forget about work for a day and slam the trans in. It’s just been stupid crazy with work in the shop and I have no shortage of transportation options available to me so it’s not like it’s been pressing to do it.

Oh dang. Yeah, very similar to mine. My hinges only have one bolt/nut each is the only difference I see. If you can find the actual manufacturer replacement, that'd be best...

Not a big deal to get a custom-cut piece of glass. The issue will be the curve of the window. I'm not looking forward to learning how much road grime gets into the gap at the bottom of mine this winter. I don't know if the company I got glass from can do a curve. They asked if mine was curved and I said no, but I was wrong.

I wish you would. It’s winders-down weather around here (you too) and nothing more enjoyable than hearing the motor grumble and tires just start to chirp a little while out cruising around on errands.

Went ahead and got my sticker, even though I'm currently just shy of 259K. Need to do TB and LBJs in the next month or two and that'll see me through 350K.

Changed the Earl and rotated. Anybody know of the top of their head how much a 5 qt mobile1 jug actually holds?
When emptying the oil catcher back into the empty jug it pretty much filled the entire jug to the brim. No way there's much left in the catcher. Semi concerned. No oil leaks other than that stupid little figure 8 o-ring but it isn't bad. Not really a burning oil smell ever and pretty f'in sure I filled with 6.25-6.5 last change.

Well simple would be 5 qts but it's 1000%full so I'm past that. Lol. I just figured someone in here my know of the top of their head. My bad I'll figure it out.

    Our trucks take 6.5qt

I can usually get most of it in a 5qt mobil1 container, but there’s almost always a partial quart leftover. Less than half, IIRC. I’ll know for sure soon enough, I gotta do OC soon. That said, filter holds about 15-25% of a quart also, no?

It’s 6.5 quarts with the filter change.

Yeah that’s fine the 5qt jug isn’t filled up to the top when you bought it. Should hold 6.5ish quarts so if you filled up the 5qt and had a little left over your fine.

I run the Mobil 1 M1-301 extra capacity filter and can get 7qts of oil in mine. I do annual oil changes. And it’s time. I’ve got lots of miles this last year compared to most and suspect I will be doing oil changes more often now that I’m dailying the FGT. I put 4900 miles on it this year.

I was looking for the volume of the actual jug because that's all that basically came out. Thanks though.
The original post may have been worded poorly, my bad. It's a weird question to begin with, I know.

Probably as @shifty` mentioned, 6-6.25 qts. I remember it being the same since I dispose of my Mobil 1 in the same 5 qt container it came in when I bought it.

I usually buy 3 - 5 qt jugs at a time and leave the remainder in the catch container until I’m ready to toss out two oil changes by bringing the 3 - 5 qt jugs back to Wally World.

You know, we hadn't considered that. He was going to leave off the cover pieces until he decided if he needed to add any more rear spacers. When he gets it fully dialed in, we'll try to reinstall them and I'll try to remember to comment on it.[/user]

Discovered that a couple of bulbs were missing the Tundras.com master list! Somebody left off the vanity mirror lights. OEM is a Koito 12V 1.5W "fuse" type bulb (30mm length). I ordered these LEDs from Amazon. They're a couple of mm short, but the OEM bulb is actually a little long for where it clips in. We'll see how they work.

To dip or remove, that is the question. Dipped them 10 years ago, one of my rear fender PPF thingys has peeled, one has not. Are these things removable? Easily? Mine are crusty AF

    IMG_2012.jpg

I’ve plastidipped them before with pretty good results. About 10 years ago

    IMG_2014.jpg

The one that’s still going strong today. Starting to fray around the edges. 10 years is a good run though.
