All you gotta do is lift up and out but still have it in the main filler neck and give it a few spirited jingles back and forth, I never have more than a few drops left

NICE!!!! I agree with the comments, this is like a new truck still!!

I'm still one short of 79k but have a couple of runs coming up where I'll need the full size bed. Should get a couple hundred more in a week or two.

Definitely, but sadly no 80,000 mile sticker from Toyota.

    Exactly what FGV said.

I don't NEED funnel, I'm just lazy as fuck and prefer to optimize time. Using the funnel as pictured, the lip on the funnel holds the can so I don't hafta stand around like a dumbass "jiggling my can to get the last few drops out". Just slide it in, walk away for a while and do something else, come back, tilt it vertical for 2-3 seconds, no spills, done.

I plugged a tire while it was pouring itself. "Work smarter, not harder". But hey, y'all do you, you like more effort, that's cool.

Oh yeah, I’m going to be running a dedicated winter tire with studs. Legal half the year in Idaho and I really want the best of the best when it comes to staying on the hwy, that’s why I’m torn between the Nokian Hap-10 SUV tire or LT3 tire. The SUV tire is at most XL load rated and has 12/32 tread depth. The LT3 is D load (8-ply) rated with most sizes in E, and has 16/32 tread depth. I think the SUV tire will grip better and wear out faster. I also know sidewall pressure is key for ice and tires should be fully inflated at cold temperatures, so I’m worried about a really harsh ride with max psi on LT3 D-loads, but they have 4/32 deeper tread depth and I would be more comfortable about taking them on logging roads with hidden puncture threats under the snow so that’s what I’m leaning towards.

The LT3 does seem like one of the best for ice and packed snow traction ... with a premium price to match.

I put the Nokian Hakka SUV tires on my mom’s minivan, as it was due for tires and we were taking it on a two week road trip through the mountains of New York, Vermont, and Quebec.

Of course, we never took it off road or did anything like what you do, but they performed amazing. However they were a lot softer than I expected. It probably wouldn’t be as bad on one of our trucks, but it was still quite soft. I had to increase the pressure in the tires above the manufacturer’s rating once we had all our stuff in the car.

I don’t have experience with an E rated tire, so I don’t know what the ride would be like, but 4/32 is a lot of tread and a lot of miles. You’d have a lot more time with those tires to sell them and recoup some of your investment if you really don’t like them.

E rating also means less rolling resistance (in theory), and better on-road handling.

FYI...just guessing but looks like these are made for the Tundras with the smaller 24 mm sway bar. Might want to check your bar/bushing size and ask the manufacturer about fitment....would be interested to hear.

Links should be fine on any of the sway bars, regardless of diameter.

Of course, I could be reading that wrong. I'm going to check with my local TMC parts dept next time I'm in there to see if there's a difference in the SB Links. All's I know is that every time the Off Road Pckg comes up in the description on the stabilizer components it refers to the smaller 24mm bar and the 24 mm bushing. By extension, maybe the links as well? I'll report back what Parts says.

I've got the 27 mm bar (-AFO40) and ordered the larger bushing (-AF040) during the last sale. I gave up on the links, partly due to price and partly because I couldn't tell if I had Type A or Type B cushions and retainers by looking at them from below (RH link is broken). Figure I'll find out during replacement.

So I just ordered the SuspensionMaxx after talking to them on the phone which are in hand for one of my next projects.

What caught my eye on the OPs link is the Red runner fitment notes for Gen1:

    -Front 1st Gen tundra (2000-2001) - Extended

    -Front 1st Gen Tundra Off-road (2002-2005) - Extended

My first thought was "these are for the 24 mm bar equipped AC Tundras". Maybe RedRunner includes 04-05 DCs in their definition of Extended but then, DCs have the 27mm bar too unless there is a smaller SB offered for them in an Off Road Pckg.

Drain and fill trans and added lubegaurd. 3.4ish quarts came out, replaced with the same amount. Easy peasy and only $34 for the atf. Extra 18 for the lubegaurd if you’re in to that.

Also washed it and pulled the spacers and center caps while I’m refinishing and modifying the rest of the caps to be more flush. Don’t love the stance without the spacers but clearance is good all around with no rubbing and seems to drive a little smoother. We’ll see if they stay off.

I dunno, I think I like it w/o the spacers. But it's your truck, and how you feel is what matters.

Thanks. I got kinda used to the bulldog look. These tires are wider than what I was running and fill the wheel well out nicely. Pretty flush with the fender flare. Probably won’t put them back on.

edit: oh. And I already bought some new et lug nuts a couple months ago in anticipation of removing the spacers. So I was already headed this direction.

Got a couple things done lately. Definitely not all today.
    - Replaced window belt trim for all windows
    - Tinted front windows with ceramic to match the rear
    - Replaced leaf spring and shackle bushings
    - Replaced the aftermarket driver side CV axle with a good used Toyota axle.

I'd be EXTREMELY surprised if it mattered. Look at what the end link bolts to on the sway bar. SuspensionMaxx links are the same for every truck regardless of year/model. Only difference is stock length vs lifted.

I didn't do it, but had some welding done on the truck. Realistically should have done this 6 or 11 years ago. Welder has a pretty sick 2WD LT Sequoia, will probably have him do a hybrid bumper in the future.

Did a 436 mile trip in the 02 AC. Used Seafoam at roughly 2oz/gallon. Ran the tank down as far as I dared on the interstate, especially since this was my first trip. Turns out there are still 10 gallons in the tank when the needle is sitting on the last quarter. Filled up and ran a good 130 miles the rest of the way home. Topped it off and calculated the mileage at 17.96 MPG. Not bad for a 234k mile truck that's made little more than short trips for the last year of its life. Went out and bought the Seafoam gas treatment / Top end cleaner package. I'll do the hot soak treatment soon, but wait until just before the oil change to run it in the crankcase.

What speed were you running? I find that I can get up to 20mpg if I keep it under 70 mph.

Fyi the gas light comes on once you've used approximately 21.5gal out of the 26.5gal tank.

Thanks! I did a full bulb replacement on the instrument cluster, including the use of an incandescent for the low fuel light, but the light won't come on during the startup sequence. I'd love to have it working, but haven't been able to chase down the problem.

Yeah, I've driven my truck until the needle is below the empty mark. Which I know isn't good for it- but it's good to know that it's possible.

I do a 430ish mile trip on one tank every few weeks. (before it burned out) the low fuel light was usually on for the last 30 miles or so.
