I didn't realize that. I'll have to look back through. It's too bad.

The climate is changing, and so are my habits. I very, very rarely use AC. I did use it once last summer. It's getting hotter. Homes in Montana never had AC until very recently. Like it became more standard just in the last 5 years. Wasn't necessary before.

I still prefer windows down to AC. I've found with the access cab, just like on my extended cab first gen Tacoma, I can crack the driver side rear window, and crack the passenger front window, and get a nice cross-breeze without too much noise. But eventually when it gets too hot, I'll finally use AC.

I'm in the 'don't use A/C much' camp. I typically keep the air on fresh/non-recirc, and either at blower setting 1 or 2, windows either halfway or all the way down, and rear slider window between 1" and 90% open to get a good circular draft thru the truck.

I gotta say though, the climate in GA is mild as hell. I love it. We get a full four seasons, and 2/3 the year I don't need to touch A/C for weeks at a time.

Power rear window. Yeah. That'd be nice. My rear window is just for looks. With my 83 regular cab and 86 & 87 Xtra cabs I could reach back and open the rear window while driving. Can't do that with the Tundra.

It's there acting as another pulley. I cut the lines and smashed them shut. If it ever gives up it's bearing I know there are bracketry and pulleys for non AC versions.

The parts catalog does show a belt for non-A/C setup on our Tundras, but I've never been able to figure out the p/n.

I saw the same thing at some point recently. There is another pulley on a bracket in the same general area.

A little fire side chill out right now

This is coming later tonight for me. Having a little friendsgiving with some chicken and sausage, and a bunch of sides, bonfire. Not drinking so much these days or I'd probably have a bourbon or mezcal or two, but looking forward to doing nothing. Repairing the grind & brew yesterday really sucked the wind outta my sails. I hate when you're in the middle of something, and an unforeseen incident causes you hours more work on a job that was already gonna take a few hours.

Checked the air in the tires, and drove it to a service rifle match in Indiana. Had to cross a creek on the way...

Brohon - I have no idea where the hell the Mitten is but in SC it’s pretty humid. I keep my AC on all year set to fresh air and blower on 1 or 2. During yellow pollen season (Feb-Mar) I switch to recirc. It’s just much nicer having AC when the temps are around 100 F with high humidity.

It can get humid here, but its not all the time. Certainly don't get the heat you do.
I grew up 5 minutes from Lake Michigan, so we would always just go to the lake to cool off when it got too bad.
We don't even have AC in our house now. It's only about a week or two maybe three that get bad, and we just pop on a portable AC to take the edge off.
I don't have allergies so I am fortunate, but we do get pollen blooms that mess with a lot of people.

My dad’s 1977 C10 Cheyenne Custom Deluxe 305, 3 on the tree long bed had AC. No power windows, no power locks, no power steering. He got a 1984 Bronco II 4wd manual that also had AC. Mom had a Malibu 4dr that had AC. Every car and every house we’ve ever had was equipped with AC. My buddy in college got all excited about getting his uncles Firebird. He was from Michigan. He flew home to pick it up. Realized it didn’t have AC and he sold it. Came back with a Ford Ranger extended cab.

I like to crack my passenger window and open the electric rear slider on my AC limited :D
Gives a decent breeze and keeps the road wind off my left ear. Plus I don't have to pop the back windows and risk those pesky latches failing.

    Jeez... That's depressing AF.
I'd have kept the Firebird. Fuck it. It's a fair weather classic. Windows down.

Reminds me of the Reverend Horton Heat song "Galaxy 500"
Dude gets divorced and loses everything but keeps his Galaxy 500 only because the ex-wife didn't want it, because no AC.

The perfect windows for smokers, that's for sure. I had a truck with wing windows as recently as 2012.

What year did the sliding rear window get motorized? That's not a mod I'm willing to tackle, but I'm curious...
