Don't throw out your OEM adjusters in rear. Service them and reinstall. Aftermarket can be problematic. OEM are serviceable, if the teeth are still crisp and instact. Same story with the wheel cylinders. Make sure you know how to properly adjust the rears, or your pedal feel will be shit after.

Move on down to Etown. The riff raff hasn't really made it's way down here yet.

just had tires pulled from stock wheels, so I can repaint and then get new tires...$60 for all 4...and I would be surpirsed if they took much more than an hour to dismount and mount 5 wheels

I'd love to, problem is, I'm kind of stuck in Louisville for now. My wife and I both have jobs with pensions that would allow us both to retire very early. For the type of work I do, I'm also not sure E-Town would offer much.

Funny thing though, a coworker of mine drives in everyday from Irvington. I suppose if they do it I could...

I always wish I was one of those productive people who could get sh*t done like this in two days. I feel like the same job would take me twice the time and induce a lot of cussing, especially at the carpet laying part. Great job.

I like the windows on my shell but gotta say the solid walls give it a tougher look.

I definitely rushed it hahaha, I should've taken a little more time, especially with this heat but I just wanted it done. The carpet has a couple of wrinkles now that I look at it, i'm gonna have to cut them and glue them down. It's only the beginning of the camper, hoping to get the rack installed this weekend and then build molle panels for the outside walls and start attaching stuff to it.

Yeah I can understand that. I work with guys that drive from Louisville about 50 minutes. Not for me though, I'm gonna stick to my 13 minutes as long as I can.

I'm maybe 5 miles from my work, I don't have to get on an interstate or highway or anything, really easy commute. That's a plus for me.

The guy that just moved in across the street to me does some sort of IT job, and he was living in Bagdad, but working in Crestwood, and now his job decided he could work from home so he moved to Louisville. Gee, if I could work from home I'd of stayed in Bagdad.

I feel like you should swap front and rear spacer. Or neg the rear totally. Are you going for a specific stagger?

That photo is a forced perspective and not really representative of the fit. Theres essentially zero stagger front to rear. Ive always hated the narrower rear track width these trucks have from the factory.

I’d be willing to bet you have steel belts even in that location. Trying to find a sensible shop that will plug and patch it is a different story.

New tires coming soon. Going 285/75/16. I’m always responsible and run the middle ground and worry about unsprung weight and blah blah blah. I’m just going for it and slapping the 33’s on. Live a little. Like these a lot, aside from the unknown branding. Has that BFG side wall lug action.

Without question. I cant imagine not having a plug kit.

Also. I recommend everyone find a tire shop in the rough part of town. I have been going to a cash only place for the better part of 10 years. I take them unmounted wheels and tires. They mount and balance a set of four for $40. A patch is $5. I appreciate their no bullshit, filter it through a cigarette experience. Always tip $10-20 so they are happy to see me next time.

They won’t patch it. I’ll just plug it myself. Done it before in that location. Worked out fine

Hey hey, turns out it didn’t go all the way through the tread block. Tiny screw. No repair needed.

Swapped out the center carrier bearing. The bearing fell right out of the assembly LOL.

Fun part is now I need to replace U joints… I think? It’s squeaking in reverse and I can’t get any grease into the U joints at all. That repetitive squeaking is hilariously loud.

Heck yeah. My buddy had the Patrick's with 285/75r16 and 5100's set to 2-3" on his 01. They rubbed his stock UCAs, so I sold em a set of Spidertrax and solved that issue. Not sure how his UBJ felt, but as far as I know, it didn't rub anywhere else. I don't think he even trimmed. Of course he never took it off-road either.
