Ive had a tepui kukenam sky for a few years. It’s very nice but can’t get my 95# golden up there. Just need to get it from storage. Here it is on my old 4runner:

FYI on this, I got out exactly 3 gallons and put back in exactly 3 gallons but I'm still barely above the "low" mark on the reservoir. The only thing I can figure is that the new rad holds slightly more than the old.

I really don't want to buy a full gallon so I may top it off with a small amount of Toyota coolant I have left over from my wife's Rav4. I know it's not ideal to mix and match.

My point, you may need more than 3 gallons.

They might be hard in your hand but they'll flex when you're driving on them.

Had to be mindful how I worded that :D

Thanks. I have some extra Peak (Amber/yellow OAT) that can be used to top off the Zerex (Pink HOAT). HOAT is Phosphated OAT.

The Amber OAT will not change the color or chemistry of the Pink HOAT.

Sounds like those plugs really do allow the full drainage of old coolant. The Specs for our system are 12.3 quarts.

May want to consider these guys. Only because I can't find any information on what thread size they are or what thread size the OEM Toyota ones are.

I almost had a set of wheels powder coated but the place didnt have quite the color I wanted. The wheels I have now are black teflon, they were free so can't complain. That's a sweet looking truck you have.

Some people put that strip that's meant for your door edges to keep em from scratching other car.doors.
    Or
You could probably tape the truck off a bit and hit it with a few layers of clear coat just to be safe

We are gonna tape it off and use probably a cardboard box edge for the inside and just hit that edge with black paint. Ask and you shall receive! I forgot how awesome these RTs are. So damn quiet and smooth

Just ordered a front bumper from Iron Bull. Will call toytec tomorrow to see what they recommend for both front and rear suspension upgrades.

One melted a big the other got cracked by a ass hole in a parking lot they also scraped my paint and dented my new bumper. Didn’t even leave a note ugh. But the new tail lights look way better than the old.

Operation ‘Pinky Tuscadero’ was a success. 2 7/8 Gallons out and 2 7/8 in.

Flushed out the old green from the heater core via the inlet hose at the firewall. Pulled both brass drain plugs out of both drain valves and flushed the engine core with a fresh coolant pour via the hoses till they ran pink.

Also, did a suck and fill at the brake reservior with some DOT 3. Knocked off and blew out the airfilter (new with 5k miles) and scooped up the trappings in my hand. Installed new wiper blades.

In our case with the earlier 1st Gens, you measure your drain off and fill back with the same amount. Drain cold and fill cold.
