I feel like both are pinnacle sized trucks. Everything else now days is to fucking big. The modern ranger is the size of a 90s F150 the current and last gen tacos are damn near the same size and height as our trucks are, factory of course.... Shits just to big and bloated, and none of it looks good IMHO. Or they come with free milling samples in the oil passages/ other obvious QC defects from the mnfg..... Cough cough turd gens

Im with you love the size of these things. However when you bring up 94-97 f150…. Yeah I’d sell my truck for the right one. Wouldn’t even look back.

So I did the battery DTS cache disconnect reset at work. Unhooked it for like an hour. Drove home with no AC as to not cheat the RPMs at the stop lights, usually when the P0171 code will pop. Had my port scanner in the whole way watching active load read out. Got home and nothing, not so much as a blip outta norm. Went I to the DTS cache and did an active scan after I pulled in and this is what I got all 4 times.
    IMG20240703002853.jpg

So is it fixed, is it intake temp dependant as it was 99 when I went to work, and it was in the mid 80s on the test drive and on the drive home tonight..... And if it is ambient temp dependant wtf causes that?

Weird things happen on the early trucks, crackie would pop an Open Fuel loop fault once the trans hit 99° or some goofy number like that.

May be in your best interest to check your grounds

Cleaned up puddle light wiring, replaced locker airline ( pinched airline when welding sliders on I think...ooops) , removed about two feet of extra power wire to my cheap Boss Sub. Mounted bass knob next to ash tray, and....ordered rear ditch lights off Amazon like a idiot. Whole darn interior is apart. O and more bank 1 and 2 voltage logging. Also logged downstream 02 voltage , timing, IAT ECT.

Hope everyone is well and ready for holiday.

I think the crew cabs were 250/350 only. Idk what it is, but that’s literally the dream. Old 7.3 tow rig with the 150 prerunner on the back.

I'd probably use something like a hairband, or those ballgag tent tiedown thingies to hold the rods in place by looping like this.

@JakeJake PFA, zip with the four.

Had to get creative with the last 3. These things apparently start to hold their shape after 1-2 years of install, had to lay some plate glass over them on the mat to get them flat. Then try to find a place I should shoot the pics with decent light, but no glare from the glass.

That's the best I can do. Going to reinstall aprons now... I'm interested in the byproduct, I wouldn't mind getting some thicker ones cut, honestly.

Funny you mention that. I’m sitting here watching Movie 43 with Hugh Jackman on a date with Kate Winslet? and he’s got fake balls hanging from his chin. Definitely wants to make you gag…in disgust.

I'm pretty sure the '97 model was the new gen where they rounded everything out. But yeah, those early / mid 90's F150's & F250's were sweet

Spent the day building a 5 leaf bastard pack out of the two pairs of springs I had. Not All day, I Had to run around and get supplies for tomorrow to keep this train rolling. Still need to finish a few details and do the final assembly.

The goal is to be back on all four end of day tomorrow.

When ya'll make these 5 or 7 leaves how do you know where they'll end up height wise? Or is that part of the fun?

Well rule of thumb is a 3/8th to 1/2 inch per leaf not counting your over load. I have a factory over load, 1 AAL, 2 firsts ones that sit on top the over load, 2 seconds and then the main spring to the frame and I'm damn near perfectly level with a 3" spacer lift in the front and 5100s in the rear
