Drove 200 miles home today from a long work trip. Unfortunately I think my 5100’s second clip with stock springs are too stiff. They are something I can deal with but pot holes and bridge or concrete transitions are driving me nuts. Damn I didn’t want to change those springs out

I'm about to install them, ill shoot you a pic

@FishNinja just kidding they are pretty beat up. Im going to think about remaking them.

They go forward of the shock towers. Not sure why they are called "rear fender apron seals" unless im missing 2 of the four.

Edit Edit- Son of a bitch, I have one front and one rear.

Bottom or #1 with an ome 2884 spring. The test drive was mind blowing, but I only have about 5 miles on the setup so far.

Majic/Krylon/Vansickle/Rustoleum and im sure others make an alkyd/enamel catalyst. I use Majic as its available next to the tractor paint at the farm store.

I mean honestly, do we even "need" them? Lol mine are there just cause they've lasted this long. I bet you can get the old carpet liner from a sedan trunk or something and just cut out some pieces and zip tie them up.

Knobs are in. I like em. The mounting shafts for these are way more robust than the OEM. 2 of mine were cracked, I had already glued and tape wrapped one.

Ive got a sheet of kydex around here somewhere, not sure that would handle the heat well. Aluminum? I know a guy that repurposes an aluminum sign from time to time...

Really it just needs some bling bling pie cut titanium exhaust :D

That’s some mid-70’s ford power steering technology for ya..

EDIT: and i just realized that about 5 years ago i was looking for these EXACT fender well exit headers for my 1971 F250! I ended up giving up on my header search and decided to just swap in a 12v cummins instead. I did just order replacement inner fenders (aka fender aprons) last week for the Ford. My current aprons have been cut most of the way out, and i want some engine bay protection from mud and other crud.

Do they feel secure when you turn them? I may have to pick up a set.

I just went over to my shop to see if my JDM Toyota bB HVAC “crystals” would fit the tundra. No dice. The tundra has a square drive hole, while my scion xB has a round-ish drive hole.

Super solid. Way less brittle than the OEM knobs.
