I've been using these for a couple years on a Tundra, Gen3 4runner and Honda Odyssey and they work really well. They last about a year in Georgia (we get alot of rain) but you can't beat them for the price...especially when they are on sale at Costco.

Pretty sure that's what I just put on the truck a couple of weeks ago. Haven't gone through any rain yet, but installing them took about 7 seconds per side.

Last two weeks of driving has been mostly at speeds under 25mph. Today, she made it up to 65mph for about 15 miles worth of driving. Windy here today.

Couple of notes: The window butyl tape job really has really silenced the wind noise around the windshield area. Rear Springs feels like they’re working proper again after the shackles bushings grease job. I used moly-b lithium. They say use a silicone based lube on the rubber to metal, but I used moly anyway.

Tis not really a bleeder. It’s just a valve to let hot coolant into the heater.. like a valve on faucet in a home

Just got Bilstein 5100s in on level 4 after taking out my spacers. It sits just slightly higher than before. How necessary is an alignment now?

Also Ive heard I can do a front only alignment to save money... is that true? Meineke a good place to get it done?

    Get the alignment anyway.

Also no place should charge you for a 4 wheel alignment on a Tundra since there's nothing to adjust in the rear.

I don't think anyone can tell this better than you. How does it drive?

I can't speak for all Meineke but I know mine was horrible for my alignment. It took them 3 attempts to get it right and I finally realized they never gave me the hunter printout. I don't think they have the equipment to do the computerized alignment. They were doing it by hand? 0/10 would not recommend.

Washed the old girl and gave her the Iron X treatment. Used 3/4 of the bottle doing so. It really did make a difference, but not 100% perfect. I tried to take some pics but they didn't turn out well.

After looking at it some more, I don't think I'm going to go ahead with the paint correction scheme. The Iron X was too time consuming and boring for me, even with a podcast playing it took me just under 2 hours to wash, Iron X and wash again. Spending all day, or multiple days, working on the paint simply isn't my thing. Add to that the sheer number of rock chips I have and the fact that the truck is 14 years old I just don't think it's worth it. It's a bush/fishing truck after all and not a show piece.

When I go get the interior detailed (yeah, I won't do that either LOL), I'm going to ask about a cut polish and wax. Dunno if that's worth the cost to do but we'll see.

You are halfway there. Don’t give up! Even with the chips and dings it will still look way better. Once its corrected its easy to maintain.

The entire life of the Tundra had the $99 dollar alignments performed until this front end was rebuilt. They told me their alignment was $149. Say what? They said yeah they get that alot.

Anyways, they provided a print out which I never was given in all the years of ‘$99 alignments’ prior. More importantly the alignment actually performs very well and you can see a difference in the stance of the truck and how the tires stand more vertical and squared off. Prior the tires were all splayed out and cross-eyed goofy looking.

If I can get someone else to do the work, it'll happen. Until then, I'd just rather not spend the time. I don't have ADD but I'm not a patient person when it comes to repetitive tasks. I do boring, monotonous work to earn a paycheck. I don't want to do it at home. Maybe I can convince The Woman to do it. She likes that kind of stuff. LOL.

The Iron X also didn't clear out the rust from most of the bigger rock chips. So in order for those to be touched up, there's alot more work involved.

Sun has moved now so I managed some pics. Definitely looks better but you can see the types of chips I need to deal with.

    @Professional Hand Model

Found a video saying you should connect a 3/8" hose to this spout run it down to your catch pan. Also said you need a 10mm deep socket. I have neither. Looks like a trip to the store is in store before I begin tomorrow.

It took the worlds finest hand yoga for me to reach one just now. You would have been proud.

Pro hand , my dad bought a 1941 cadillac coupe a few years ago and the underneath has a lot of surface rust , gonna try this Ospho rather than the Sems . Sems is 80.00 + a gallon and Ospho is much cheaper. Generally I don't care to pay more for a good product but I have no clue which product is better so I'll go with the lesser price . Got a car lift coming next week and this will be the first job I plan on doing on the lift.

I have The Woman coerced into helping if I go ahead with it. I'm not kidding though when I say I lack patience for this stuff.

I do need to figure out what to do about all those rust spots. I'm probably going to pick up a touch up pen soon and see if that will work.

Excellent grasshopper. 10mm socket is like ‘Down Dog’ move of yoga. The go to move of all moves.

The touch up paint has a built in scraper on the end for that exact purpose. I hear what you're saying about patience but there is a huge sense of satisfaction and achievement that is felt after doing something like this. It's worth it.

Your paint needs wax and polish badly. Either do it or pay someone. You'll be glad you did.

    Here is the paint pen.

Thats what I’ve done over the past few years... use the touch up pen 1D6 in my case. I bought it with the truck and it still works! Maybe carefully spot sand just the rusted part and wipe it off before touching it with the pen.

This Ospho goes a long way, too. A little will cover a huge area. Try it out first on spot before committing fully. I’ve seen it work wonders. Saves on labor and priming.
