Mine are the fastest vehicles I've ever owned. :burp:
So being as I went from a 4 banger truck, to a handful of v6 trucks, to the 2uz's,
I always aspired to own a V8. And I always knew headers were a top priority.

High compression pistons & rowdy cams should have complemented the headers & injectors.

Yea - Around town - little smoother on the little bumps, but not as much as I thought - thought it would be HUGE. Big bumps - bigger difference. Didn't take the Tundra offroad with the 5100 set up - just dirt roads. Other trucks were pretty much stock to 6112. In each case, I felt like the truck didn't really lose any stock feel, but added 1+" and more travel. The 5100's felt very not stock like on the '04 Tacoma - very harsh - but different vehicle. My gut says the 5100s do better on the Tundras vs the Tacos/4Runners, which you would think would be the opposite.

The Toyota dealer online order site has extra 10% off plus free shipping. Or at least they did the other day. I can't seem to find a dealer with a steering rack in stock though. Apparently those are on nationwide backorder.

Same. Makes sense, I think my truck's official color is "Old Man Tan"...

I think the fastest vehicle I ever owned was an old Pontiac Grand Prix, wasn't bad for a v6... All my V8s have been heavy trucks with the aerodynamics of a brick...

i'm just chuffed with my 6112's, but im on the lowest setting. I just float over potholes & speedbumps, and traintracks. If i need to raise it when i get rear springs, i'll probably use spacers to keep the low preload.

It was the 3.8, naturally aspirated though. I always wanted to do a top end swap on it though for the supercharger.

You could stomp on the gas and actually accelerate in the car. My current car, a Camry just doesn't do that. It takes a good 3 seconds to think about speeding up, and then it does so like any other gutless 4 cylinder.

MIL had a 1990's Buick Riviera with the 3800SC. A boat with a rocket engine. Example photo, not hers.

Im sure its been metioned before, but since Bilstein 6112s were brought up and @Mr.bee mentioned being on the lowest setting for less preload.

I was curious what spring you guys are running. the 650 lb or the 700 lb? Id like to maybe switch to 700lb but on the lowest setting for less preload as well but not sure how much lift that will give. I only want about an inch or so of lift. Also thinking of adding a winch eventually so maybe the 700lb would work on the lowest setting with the weight of my bumper and winch and not give too much lift?

    Any advice would be appreciated!

If I ever buy an old GM car it'll be something with the 3.8 SC.
    I love those 2 doors.

Look it up, but i think the 700lb spring is 1/2" longer than the 650lb. I'm on the 650's, but no winch/ no bumper.

Oh and if anyone is interested, gonna put my Suspension Maxx extended sway bar links up for sale since ive removed my front sway bar awhile back and have no intention of putting it back on.

They are in great condition and thinking $50 plus shipping for them.

That 3.8 was a runner in NA form. With a SC it was hand of God like. Gobs of torque. Unfortunately FWD also.

I understand it's confusing, son, but the fact that science and religion are in agreeance, is actually proof that it's 'make believe'
The fact that you no longer have a 1st gen, disqualifies your judgement. Claim what you will about "all others", it matters not, as they're irrelevant here.

Let me ask you this; as an owner of both a white truck and a black truck, which of your trucks is faster? 1 word answer please

    Tough to answer that.
The white one has a ton of extra weight, but vvti, headers, gears, and a tune.
The black one is non vvti and has headers, no tune.
My best 0-60 time in the black is 6.1 seconds.
I haven't had a chance to do one in the white yet. Truck needs a front diff leak fixed and rear wheel bearings.

I had a GPGTP. It was pretty quick. I found a pretty nice 98 regal gs a while back for like $7k, but couldn't do it.

Fast & fwd is almost as bad as a fast truck. At least the truck can control a powerslide.
