Reception is perfect. I'm right in town though, so that may help so I'll try it next time I leave town. I never listen to the radio though so it's not a big deal to me.

I didn’t think you would need an instructional on how to get wiper blades on.

I’ve had Bosch Icon wipers on for over a year now and no issues.

Walk me through it. Pics of yours on, so I can see my error. I need a close up of the arm hook and whatever adaptor you are using.

They provided 3 adaptors (both packages) and none fit my application. Also, the instructions described 6 arm styles none of which looked like my Tundra arm.

The Tricos fit. Bosch not. Bosch is better constructed. Again, I’m open to being proven wrong.

So I finally got in touch with Brute Force Fab and as.soon as he gets back from vacation next week, I'll be able to order my sliders. I've got my.finger on the button for dirty deeds 270cc injectors too. But I dont know when I'll actually have the time off work to have them installed. I may have to wait till I buy my second vehicle.

Yes. Going to try and do a full flush via those drain valves on both sides of the block and convert back to the HOAT Pink Coolant thats Phosphated for our engines. The service shop that did my radiator 4 years ago put the green/yellow (OAT) in it. Since learning here and doing research, I’ve discovered the Phosphated is best.

They took me about 3.5 hours on the driver side and 2 hours on the passenger side. Thats taking your time and making sure you don’t lose any washers!

The ones I had in my possesion did not look like that. The 3 adaptors did not even come close. When I went to the auto store to pick up the Tricos I looked at the Bosch and the connector looked like yours does, but I did not spend much time on it due to the $50 price for both versus $32 for the Trico. Next time over the year I’ll try to grab these Bosch on sale at the auto store instead of Big Gurl. Boxes and blades looked the same, but the adaptors no workie.

    I wonder if you got the wrong part # there's a 19 A+B that fit and a 19 OE that won't.

It opens with the heater controller. It’s the box on the firewall. It just lets the system bleed. Set the Heat to full blast full hot and on the face.

yeah I don't have a lot of time these days with work demands. and I have carpol tunnel syndrome, especially in my dominant hand. I can berely write a paragraph before my hand starts to cramp. So it'll be taken to a shop.

No! Primer is a boding agent, designed to attract/absorb. If you don't feed primer with paint, the primer will attract/absorb moisture from the environment & promotes rusting. "just primer" bad! :bananadead:

Yeah I know about most primers being porous but they are some primers that do seal anything underneath them.

Thanks for this. Next time someone wants some heat in the truck I’ll say, ‘Let me turn on the heater bleeder valve’.

This is the info I was looking for. Thank you. I had the OE that Big Gurl said would fit. Auto Store had the A/B and the quick look I took at them they looked different at the snap in, but saw the $50 in my head and the parts guy said the Tricos were on sale $32.

The Bosch really feels like a quality part compared to Trico. Better rubber and an extra blade groove.

    Thanks for the distinction!

Edit: I miss the days of the refills blades. So much cheaper than buying a whole blade assy. and less wasteful, too.

Good news is the adapters should fit both styles so if you get the correct blades one time you can reuse the adapters on the wrong blades you have now.

In theory you get more power but on the downside it does it by keeping the engine cooler and burning more fuel.

I'm not sure. I figure it would be good for towing and hard acceleration or even 4 wheeling.

This mod seems to be popular among boosted tacomas

I wouldn't bother with that thermostat thing.

Yesterday morning I took out the trash and I noticed my truck was parked a spot over from where I last parked it. Came back in and my wife had a birthday present for me. I opened the box, new shoes! Then replied "you drove my truck???"

years ago , I used some Sems rust-mort which I believe is pretty much the same as this Ospho. This may or may not apply but I remember talking the the tech department at Sems and was told to get the absolute best results was to keep the area being treated wet for 30 to 40 minutes. Just brushing on a coat or two and walking away will in fact do some changing and turn somewhat black but it will not convert all rust . Also it was very important to wipe with a damp cloth( not rinse) the area really good after final dry time ( 24 hrs) for two reasons , first it is an acid and all excess needs to be cleaned off and 2nd he told me it was not intended for clean bare metal that was not rusty because it could actually cause it to rust non rusted areas. He told me to convert 100% you would have to dip parts in a vat and leave for 30 to 40 minutes and it would be totally converted but that is impossible on some most applications , he said he knew that but he was giving the best case scenario . So just a suggestion , even though these are different brands , I would try to keep wet like the tech guy told me or I would call the Ospho tech folks and ask them if this process is the same and if keeping wet for a longer time would get better results . Just hate to see this stuff top coated and rust pop back up later and if everything I just wrote is irrelevant being this is a different brand disregard, but I have used about everything one time or another and have seen various results and to be honest , most things I used them on were sold or traded before I could see any long term results.
