As long as you're offroading with hub centric spacers, you should be fine.

Been a while. Did some fun stuff this past week. Replaced u-joints and new carrier bearing. Fixed the tail seal in the process. Also got a pair of Fox 2.0 coilovers installed and fox rear shocks. OME that I installed two years ago had already failed. The ride has night and day differences between the Fox and OME. The clunk that I had when going over bumps at low speed is gone, and the vibrations from the failed carrier bearing have been erased. Feels like a new truck.IMG_8672.jpg IMG_8673.jpg IMG_8674.jpg IMG_8675.jpg IMG_8677.jpg IMG_8683.jpg

    Which AAL is that?
    Truck looks good btw.
I am always surprised to hear from you dra owners about OME difficulties. But it does happen a lot. Which is strange because I've only heard good things about OME from Tacoma owners

My grandfather only ever went to 2 states. KY (the one he was born in), and I'm told he went to Indiana once.

Never leaving one's county, that's pretty impressive!

Found the culprit for one of the noises in my front end. The hardline on my DS brakes touches the bottom of the spring at close-to-full-lock.

Yea that UTE is pretty awesome! I feel in a few years Ill decide to make a flat bed camper type of build.

I tried looking at the UTE website, wow is that a primitive site! haha

Well my dreaded P0172 and P0175 codes are back today. I thought I got it this past weekend when I did the spray in seafoam treatment into the throttle body, then unplugged the battery for 30 mins. All week it was fine and then today at a stoplight I heard the dreaded idle drop and shure enough CEL with the codes. GRRRRR.

@455h0le_dachshund -- no AAL there; I ended up getting the HD spring from general spring. I do have the pinion angle shim in there, however. I had a 1" block that I removed when the Fox 2.0s were installed as I was able to drop the front a bit to level vs. the OME.

@VR6T -- wheels are 275/70R17s—method roost rims in bronze.

I am at a LOSS on the codes. Because it's intermittent and symmetrical, the odds of two failed O2 sensors seem zero. I've already replaced the MAF with OEM. Clean air filter (6 months old, Toyota OEM). I do have a SAIS delete...

yeah, the website made me think they weren’t in business anymore. They are, the owner is really cool. Product is great so far. I was looking for something between the ill fitting Aluma, and the over the top Norweld/MITS. This hit the spot for me.

And aluminum because I’m so over rust.

I'm trying to visualize that, can you draw up a pic? Just curious if I may have same going on..

Hmm.... I mean, you could always unplug the bypass and see if it goes away. This is one of a couple reasons I really hate using aftermarket bypasses for stuff. What you're explaining should've ultimately been solved with the work you've done, unless it's an air leak causing it. I'd be suspicious...

The flatbed is nice. The first Tundra I test drove was an access cab flatbed . More "ranch" looking than the Ute flatbed (it was a Hillsboro). I love the look of flatbeds. I would have bought it if it hadn't been 2wd. But I have to admit, a flatbed doesn't fit my lifestyle very well. I've been driving a pickup with a stock bed and topper for over 20 years and it would hurt to get rid of that secure storage space.

The lightweight platform for a slide-in camper was the most compelling selling point of the flatbed.

Right. I mean that is zero cost. This was the second bypass that I have installed. I also did the blocking plates. And I also have it wired to the starter circuit so I def. did it right (well I guess I didn't do it RIGHT since I didn't replace the SAIS). But yea. Good thing to try...

I am chasing the same thing. It comes and goes. Bank 1 system too lean, and then bank one catalyst sensor issue. Only trips after the engine has been brought up to temp and driving faster than 35mph for 3 or more miles. It will not trip underload, aka driving at speed, and I get the same idol drop right before it trips. Can't figure it out for the life of me. Next step is to replace the headers and gaskets.

So I did the valve covers a couple of months ago to address an oil leak. I could do the long tube headers...I think Keith has another pair available :)

I can floor it, and nothing happens, as far as codes go. It's just a phantom pain in the ass. So IDK, maybe I have a partially clogged injector..... Again idk

I'm gonna run shorties and delete my resonator at some point, step everything up to 2 inch and 2.5 inch going to get a new Borla 2.5" in to a 3“ out straight set muffler.
