First time posting in this thread!

No pictures yet, as I'll be installing this weekend, but I picked up a Yakima Outpost HD bed rack for a roof top tent!

Super excited to get it on this weekend.

The second photo has the scoop in it and it will have seals to help to keep water tight. Just like the 4runner does. will be working on it as time allows.

Those look like they will be too hard ("That's what she said!), but I'm interested to hear what they are like once you get them....$20 for 8 beats $80 for 2 every day of the week...

I'm sure ours will be too. The wife wants to get one that will grow with the kid and change through the years. She knows far more about this stuff than I do, so she is taking lead!
Also must have been great for advertisement quality hand development in those early years! Who knew?!
She would probably be more upset with a bracelet than truck parts honestly, she's not big on jewelry and she loves the truck (Thank God)! :yay:

And these bad boys came in the mail. They'll have to just sit and look pretty for a while, but at least I have them and they are paid for!

You're the first person I've seen order those. I'm curious how they work. Be sure to measure first so you know how much lift you get.

Will do. They are on the bottom clip. They claim to give 2.5". We'll see if they do.

I felt like they are the poor man's toytec coilovers. Nothing against them, but I don't have the need for the adjustable threaded collar. I want to set it and forget it.

If they are too hard, I’ll find another use for them. (She never says).

Slice them in thin washer sized thickness and stuff them between the top of rear frame and bottom of truck bed standoffs.

Yes. I couldn't justify the crazy expensive ones. I still have to buy wheels and tires after this. These were only $100 more than the Toytech, OME, etc so I felt like it was an easy choice. I plan on doing the ICON expansion pack as well.

Installed a set of method wheels to the Tundra. Think I’m gonna color match all of my emblems to the gold color of the wheels.

Ospho’d the exhaust pipes from the mainfold down to just before the exhaust tip in preparation of ceramic painting. The Ospho converts Rust (Iron Oxide) into Iron Phosphate (a hard paintable surface thats neutralized of rust). I don’t plan on priming as the Ospho does the trick. Tomorrow should be interesting as the overnight humidity really facilitates the conversion and turns the metal black (the color which it will be painted). We’ll see. Here are before and right after pics.

Too many other things need money first. GTI needs new tires, new bushings and joints, new intercooler, exhaust, motor mounts, stage 2 tune.
Plus I need a house. :frusty:

Went to the Autoshow today. Tried on a new Tundra amongst others. Buying a first gen was the right choice for me. Just better (for me).

Got the new axle all pressed together during my free time at work, happy
To report that the truck no longer shakes horribly while braking (drum wasn’t happy with the bent axle) and it’s much quieter to drive (still have a bad tire somewhere though)

I know that feeling. No garage and no storage shed. I'm still contemplating how I'm gonna pull the subframe/motor/trans on both my SHOs and work on them. It is in the trailerhood, so I guess it wouldnt be outta line to work on them on the front porch...

That's an interesting product. I have a few spots on the frame that would probably benefit from this. So far I've just done your grease+PB Plast suggestion.
