Went and did a trail with the local 4R group yesterday, about 10+ rigs and my truck made the group cover photo! B938ED09-C71C-4258-950A-04F994DB0264.jpg

So there's not supposed to be a stair step but there is supposed to be? I don't know. Mine have one or two. Don't recall because I hardly drive it

No stair step from the driver bulb up to the passenger. The top lines on both lights should be perfectly level.

The step-down is purely to not blind oncoming drivers from the left half of the truck.

The folks who’ve removed theirs did so with 700lbs coils upfront. Disconnected mine and liked it a lot. Today I removed the bar.3DD156D7-3054-4B30-917F-7F84DD2AAEEE.jpg

Headlight polish. After noticing the bad reviews on aftermarket headlight assemblies, and choking the price of OEM. I settled on polish and repair. One of the mounting tabs was broken off, so I reattached with an aluminum spine and a bunch of JB weld. Used a weighted 5 gal bucket and a bungee cord to hold the assembly while i sanded and polished the lens. 20240424_162949.jpg 20240426_103305.jpg 20240425_140205.jpg 20240425_123832.jpg

Think I’ve found what was causing the popping sounds from the front passenger side. EEB5B7DF-BD19-450A-ADEF-E4C8707F0F6F.jpg
Came lose just by loosening the top bolt. Fairly sure the outer tie rod end needs a hammer to pop out from DIY video I watched.

Yup, Nm. I better go up and edit that before someone takes it for lbft.

I always try to keep the legend in the screencap when I post those.

Those look almost as bad as mine were. Mine were factories with 209xxx miles on them. I don't know how the last 2 owners didn't notice that

An alignment away from next weeks trip. Greased the UCA & ball joint, removed sway bar, replaced outer tie rods and I don’t know why but the most satisfying of reg maintenance, greased the driveshaft. Something about them 8 zerks that just hit different.
    Appreciate the help fellas

Really You're going to post that comment and you live in Texas. How much of Texas that is owned is private land it's what greater than 90% correct. And if I could afforded a 45 to 55 minute drive from where I live now and if I had $320,000 to get 4 acres and a 1500 ft² house I would have. But I didn't so I bought within my means. That and it's not so bad where I live, ask @Mr.bee cul-de-sac no through traffic quiet neighbors and ample parking for all the tundra people that could come over all at one time if you also decided to.

I dont miss having to mow once a week. 8 years ago you coulda been my neighbor. And had $50k to throw at a vagwagen. @VR6T you do live on the best possible suburban neighborhood street. Hopefully our trucks didnt disturb your neighbors.

back on topic, i got to use my truck camping setup to make fajitas for the grandparents. Polo curled up under the truck & waited patiently, just like we were at hidden falls. He doesnt seem to mind where we go, just enjoys the trip.

Not hating at all, your grass looks nice as fuck. Just very similar landscaping in that area from what I have seen.

My "backyard" for reference. Bonus 1gt camper included to keep it on topic.

My property consist of a 10x10 ft crabgrass lawn and 6” round tree root sticking 1/2 way out of the ground running across it.

Due to HOA rules, I can’t even cut it out and get rid of it.

Buffalo grass. It's not exactly cheap but itll grown in like 80% of Texas and it's a native grass.

You can if it's ruining curb appeal or devaluing. Get 2 or more complaint and the devalue in writing and they'll have to let you remove it.

Yes and yes. It really depends on the lift though. A 10k Telehandler only has that much capacity with the first section of boom out and within certain boom angles. The machine I need for the install is twice the capacity on paper, but 25' up and 40' of boom out it will only do 2,500ish pounds.
