    @shifty`

did you cycle your suspension loose? Clamp the LCA bushings at full droop or rideheight? I wanna take some measurements at full stuff, and beau's lca stayed tight, and we didnt take the time to fiddlefuck around. Pretty sure we did the tape measure alignment afterwards.

my cv's and strut tool are supposed to be here tomorrow.

These are the times where I feel like I've done all my research and made sound decisions with my truck, but then I read something like this... and my entire existence is brought into question.

But honestly @Mr.bee I don't know if just using jacks & jack stands without tires will get the full range of motion. Seems like most of what I've read online is all done with the wheels on.

Alright, edit is needed... Apparently I need to relearn how to search the internet. Found some good videos, for the back of a vehicle, not as much for the front.

Drove to the car wash, saw a line 5 cars deep, turned around and went home.

    I’ll try again tomorrow.

life is a string of questions. Gonna loosen everything to play with travel. Probably try to set the bushings at ride height.

Deep thoughts, right there. Mr. Jack Handy is more like it..

Definitely something I need to do. Front and rear stops. Those extra washers on the front aren't going to cut it, when I start doing some off-road business.

Gave my Ferd a break so I used my DC to swing by the post office to pick up a package they supposedly tried to deliver but couldn't. Lyin' bastids. My security cameras show no attempt whatsoever was made. It was the swing out toolbox I grabbed from scAmazon for my Ferd. Not heavy just a large bulky box. Will throw it on this weekend in between OT shifts at work.

With the way some of the roads are to/around the reservoir, I might not be able to resist.

Can anyone post a picture of their upper ball joints, 2wd preferably, parked on a level surface. I just replaced mine not 3000 miles ago, Moog HD upper and lower, and well the pass side is blown out and the druver sides about to. I have a 2 inch leveling kit, and its the OEM upper control arms in both sides.

Ooof you lucky dog. Everyone knows never to use Moog lowers. Or Napa. Or anything other than OEM.

Hold up and I'll get you a pic of 4WD at least, on level surface.

Ok, aftermarket here but I love how it looks. And the above is all I had from pre-upgrade days.

Sankie triple 5s are supposed to be on par with OEM. I'm not sure I'd be sweating those if I were you.

I was a Moog lifer also, but ever since they had that huge fucking recall on LBJs for our trucks in 2020/2021 that resulted in lots of dead Tundras, I started looking into it, and Moog isn't the company it was 10,15, 20 years ago. They don't make their own parts anymore. They outsource a fair amount from mainland China and the quality has basically gone to shit. I won't buy their products anymore, and many of my hardcore die-hard GM family won't purchase them either, after half a century of swearing by their product.

Companies change. They get bought up, merge, sell, start catering to shareholders more than consumers, it happens. Moog jumped the shark.

If you want a link to the NHTSA recall doc for Moog's LBJ, I can find it for you. It was ugly. It hit NAPA brand and one other major store brand too. All sourcing parts from the same mainland China warehouse that starts with a "T", IIRC.

OEM, and for the reasons in that video ^^^

And get new bolts while at it. At least threadlock blue, if not red, when installing the bolts. I go blue.
