Yep, I had that issue on my 03 Taco too. You just need a swivel and an extension or two IIRC

You were able to get under the intake and injector runner to the inner side valve cover bolts? Couldn't figure it out on an 04.

I wish Falken made a 285/80/17 tire. That would be my ideal set up. Currently have Falken Wid Peaks 275/70/17. Great tire so far.

Agreed, that would be a great tire size.

I'd run 285/75r17 if I had bought 17's instead of 16's in the first place. But now when i finally do buy 17's, I'm going for the Kenda Klever MT in 35x10.5r17

I'm with you @455h0le_dachshund on the Kenda 35x10.5. That's probably my next tire. With the proper alignment, I think these trucks can clear that size without too much hammering and cutting :sawzall:

Drove my truck through Saltapalooza today. Now it’s saltier than the rim of a Margarita glass. Time for a wash tomorrow and then again when the roads are clear.

Mine is the same. Pretty sure I drove through the evil liquid brine. It's going to be a while before I can wash it off too.

My @shifty` approved clamps arrived today too! It took some restraint to not over-tighten them they work so well. The OEM clamps were loose enough so the dust boot was slipping around quite a bit. Hopefully this does the trick.

Nice. How many miles you got on those OE inner boots with the lift and how high is it? I just replaced mine because they split. Yours aren't rubbing at the innermost bellow and causing a groove? Did you get the smaller 25-40 mm clamps too maybe to swap for that off centered outer one?

OEM+, 6+1 bastard pack, 4.08 swapped rear end, custom spring shackles, 3 inch flat lift. This list will grow
I havent done it yet but i got my brackets cut, lights came in, and i just need to weld the brakets on to my hitch frame. Some new 18,000 lumen under body back up lights. Apparently I'm blind at night in reverse, or it was sub optimal window design..... Either I'll be able to see now when reversing in tight spots. Going to inline fuse them and piggy back into either my hitch conection or reverse light directly.
NiLight is the brand for those wondering, like 36 bucks, USD, on Amazon

probably only about 150 miles on about a 2 in lift. It does look like it's rubbing so I'll just have to keep an eye on it. I figured this was worth a try. I didn't even notice that smaller clamp looking kind of askew until I posted the pic. will have a look at that tomorrow.

Note your smaller inner clamp of that boot is sitting up on the shoulder at the shaft side. I can probably get you a NORMA clamp# for that one if you intend to replace it too. I just need to dig up my post with the calipers to see what the clamp measure needs to be.

Realized now why I wasn’t getting any hvac fan on the first two settings. Cheap and easy 5 minute fix luckily. Those don’t seem to come around very often. Was even able to use the heated work bays at work while on shift so since I was getting paid to while doing this it basically makes me a professional mechanic yes?

Good repair. I know that shifty would suggest to clean out the evaporator while you are in there. He actually has a write up with pics somewhere on here, but I can't locate it. Anyway, good work.

EDIT: Found it. Posting for future. https://www.tundras.com/threads/wha...-gen-tundra-today.2558/page-1571#post-3126837

Took a photo of my 2006 double cab next to a 07 double cab today. I could have bought either, but chose the 1st gen for a larger back seat and almost the same size bed. Plus, it looks better IMHO

Also the new Bedrug from an access cab is working out good for my double cab. still looking for a true double cab bedrug. If you have a lead, let me know :)

I think the first gen is the best looking IMO, and I like how spacious the interior is VS the cockpit feel in a lot of the newer models.

that Fumoto... is it in danger of being broken off when offroading or is it pretty well protected? I read on another forum offroaders shouldn't install them for that reason. but not specific to any truck

If you have a skid plate should be no issue. They've also got short valves that aren't much bigger than a standard plug.

The Fumoto drain valve is great, I put them on both my FGT and Taco and wife's Subarooooo. No issues with them sticking out to far to risk breaking off.

Ive had a Fumoto valve for a couple years now. Its pretty well protected under my SkidRow skidplate and havent had a single issue with it. Makes oil changes so much easier as i bought the version that accepts PVC tubing so i can drain the oil without spilling on my skid plate.

I've got a Fumoto via secret santa. My lazy ass still hasn't installed it yet. One year and counting ....

I need to do an OC soon, actually.
