I think with your wheel spacers the axle widths are very close, still doing some research though. I'll post it up once I get my head around a few things.

Okay, when I do the 5VZ in March, I will use felpro. Although, I have no leaks and OEM has lasted 24 years

 

I found the original post that made me think I needed to change mine, circa 2018:



Then I did replace them when I pulled the intake again(for no reason) in Jan 2019.



So the ITM IM gasket did last 3 years for me, but that's only about 9k miles. Those POS Ultra lasted maybe a year, 3k miles. I bet fel-pro would do fine.

 

So the Ultras lasted 2 years. I looked back through my pics and I replaced them 11/26/21. Looking back further I used the ITM gaskets 1/5/19. So yeah, the cheap ass gaskets have a 2 year +/- a year life span.

 

Found a scrap piece for $1.98 a lb that’s just right for me. Cut down to around 15” height should do it.

I swear @Tundra2 went in and soldered new LEDs onto the boards in his truck, but don’t remember how many bulbs he found in his. I’ll need to check my truck when I get home to see what it’s got.

I didn't look any deeper than that SHifty. Just took a peak and found that one single mini LED and backed out.

 

I may try to dig up an ‘06 control to dig open. Now I’m curious.

 

Soldering a T5 on there would be nice, that thing is so dim, at least on mine (could be dust/dirt)

Rhino liner is really great stuff. My shop uses a company called Line-X and they do a fine job, if you're not planning to do it on your own.

 

Yesterday I went to install the new JBL tweeters but I'm still getting a crackling noise. I double checked the connections and tried both tweeters and have the same outcome. I must have an issue somewhere else but I didn't want to get too deep until I get the new headunit, amp bypass harness and steering wheel control harness.

I ended up putting back in the OEM's to prevent any damage to the new tweeters for the time being. Once I have all the parts for the full upgrade then I'll worry about the rest.

Did you check the wiring on the tweeters to make sure it’s not getting pinched/smashed anywhere?

It’s totally possible the fuzz is coming from the amp itself, or the head unit. Only way to really tell is to pop the output plug on the amp, where the amp feeds to the speaker, and feed music to the speaker after the amp, if that makes sense.

Oh and totally willing to swing down and help on install if we can make schedules work.
