Thanks, but if I go the sticker route, it'll have to be stickers of stuff I actually have/use and places I've actually been. I wouldn't feel right rocking a Bilstein sticker when I don't have them, or a Moab sticker when I've never been there.

Sometimes it's not about building a list of places you've been and stuff you've installed, but creating a checklist of things to come.

So, here’s the deal… When I first installed my snorkel, I kind of did it half assed. Yes, I did attach it to the airbox so it’s been drawing air and has been watertight this entire time (before you ask).
Because this design is for a LC and not for our trucks, it requires a little massaging to get it right. (I now understand why the guy in the video took his fender off to do the job the first time)
There are five studs on the backside of the snorkel base that attach to washers and nuts on the backside of the fender. I was only ever able to get 4 of those to attach. The stud furthest to the rear never had a nut on it and I was never able to get a washer on to the stud farthest forward. This is something that only I knew about and has always bothered me since install.
After taking the heat gun to the snorkel and since it has been on long enough to have molded itself somewhat to the fender from the weather, I felt that it was now time to attempt to secure it properly.
Fender liner off, apply pressure to the area where the studs are. Attach washers and lock nuts accordingly. Tighten to enough arm strength to feel that it’s secure and not to rip out the studs on the snorkel base.
    Job done!
I know that @whodatschrome installed the same snorkel. I hope he had a better experience the first time. I don’t know that any damage would have ever been done had I left it the way that it was. But for my own piece of mind, I know that it’s as secure as possible now.

Got tired of my dirty door jams so I cleaned them up. Also let someone borrow my truck and noticed a coffee or soda stain on the back carpet so shampooed that too.

I guess we need to swap these hoses?

John and I are going to take a day off work to tackle the bed swap. We went to town with my DeWalt impact and I couldn't get a bed bolt to budge. John had luck with his Milwaukee.

    PXL_20231202_201626036.jpg

I got a bed in my yard. Charging John $10/day in storage.

I removed all but 3 stickers from my cap when I got the new truck. Ended up filling up 4 pages of paper (had to stick them somewhere). When I met the previous owner I offered them to him & he actually wanted them. Dunno why I didn't toss them, but he was happy I didn't. I'm just not a sticker person.

Had a fun trip with my youngest, stayed at a campground I’ve never been to, had an epic series of storms/events. Then did a sweet trail(couldn’t complete due to safety) this morning

That's a very awesome coffee or cola stain you got there bud.

If you haven't already heard mine or others warning, wear the gloves. That stuff is basically like super glue when it hardens, only acetone won't easily take it off.

You may want to consider Rust Bullet, since it'll roughly match the OEM color. Eastwood also makes a product I've used that lets you dye it with pigment.

So I drove the truck finally after installing the new Archive leaf springs and U bolts. Looks like I got a little rake but im glad i went with the the Medium Duty pack. The camper is not crazy heavy so this looks like a good fit.

Got a little rake but looks pretty good to me. Felt great driving around too, although my rear sway bar I installed previously had to be removed as it wont fit due to the U bolt base plate being in the way. It felt pretty good though, despite having no front sway bar or rear now. May go sway bar-less for a while and see how it feels.

I have the HD version and I think I’ve only hit the bumps once or twice, it’s definitely perky in the rear but I’ll take that over the oem pack that was toast…..

Yea ive barely tested it out but went over some speed bumps today for fun and i could barely feel the speed bumps when the going over with the rear.

Not much of a "test" but it felt good none the less! Cant wait to get out camping soon too. Our office closes for a week at the end of the year so I'll probably be doing some coastal camping near Big Sur!

@FrenchToasty So true man, its an amazing feeling getting outdoors to where there are "no buildings around" and it just feels good. More people need to experience that.

The only place I really share this stuff is with you guys. Glad we can all share in our appreciation of these fun trucks and the cool places they help us get to!
