I picked up the new radiator and all the fluids. Lol. Friday I get to make a mess. How much trans fluid should I expect to lose, any rough ideas?

A few ounces at most when swapping the radiator. All you have to do is point the trans hoses upward and gravity will keep them from leaking. You'll only lose some when you disconnect them from the radiator.

I don't recall your impact setup but those bolts on my truck were super tight and there is a nut on the top side to hold if I remember right. Had to turn a breaker bar and hold a wrench. Kinda inconvenient really.

Do you work at a dealership or body shop? That hood is going to look so much better once you finish.

I wanna say that the head of the bolt is a 19mm and the nut on top of the cross-member is a 22mm? Driver's side has more stuff in the way, but it's not too bad. That reminds me, I was looking to buy some replacement bushings for those arms. Doesn't seem like they cinch up enough, once they're unseated.

Don't take this the wrong way, but why does it look so 'bad'? Are those tiny bubbles in the paint, or are the chip marks showing thru? Askin as I have the same black hood, littered with rock chips. (not quite as bad as yours was)

Thanks, after seeing your last pic, I went out and popped the caps off on the donor wheel I have. Had I known they just pop off, I would've replaced my shiny ass volume/track up/down buttons years ago. I assumed they were spring-loaded, but found the the springiness was coming from two white post assemblies inside the control body. I'll hafta snap some pics and post those too, in a new thread about steering control button face swaps or something, so we have the info archived in its own thread.

My Bosch profactor cordless has never been unable to get a bolt off (yet) on this truck. I'm hoping it could do the job.

I just had a setback in recovery though. Overextended myself eating mac n chz last night. Then sneezed two hours later. Got my first bleed. Throat is sore as hell now. Looks like I'm laying low for the next couple days.

I'm pretty sure he used the Rustoleum roller method. It can actually look good. Friend of mine did it on his mid-90s Impala. What you're seeing are the bubbles that show early in the process, it's normal.

Yesterday I sanded the hood down to the metal where the paint had flaked off and tried to even out the rest of it. Today I just rolled it with rustoleum. No primer or block sanding applied. This was not meant to be or look like a professional job. The bubbles you see in the pic have flattened out. The next coat will look much better and then once it cures, I will use a finishing compound to polish it. It will look better. I didn't set out to make it look new, just to make it look better that the paint chips and clear coat failure that were there.

I miss Mac n cheese so much. I made my own cheese sauce with keto plant noodle garbage that was like eating rubber. I had to throw it out. The sauce was awesome. I blended heavy cream, butter, Velveeta, gouda, and colby jack

Ahh, you don't have the single-stage paint. I don't have clear coat, but still got all the same chips. I was hoping those were just bubbles. That's good. 'Bad' was a bad choice of words. So.. my bad. It doesn't look bad at all. I was just curious about the texture. Can't wait to see it finished.

Yeah, I don't have enough land or garage space to guarantee y'alls cats stay intact if you choose to stay here. Work moved me where I am 20 years ago, and it's going to pay off handsomely soon enough (already has in droves), but there are plenty of downsides to living where I do.

Welp, finally got notification: My order is on-hold, and they identified the national shortage. I just don't have time or the voice to deal with this one today.

sounds like @-Woodsman- and @RUSTYNUTS need to make Texas the meeting hub. There are plenty of us on here for places to crash. @-Woodsman- can pick up @shifty` on the way.
