Replaced my burnt out hvac lights and checked the engine oil.

I have a shudder between 20-30mph so I looked at the driveshaft too. Doesn’t seem to have any play in it though.

Those are your Snap-On, MAC, etc. They have a lot more functionality than the $20 bluetooth guys.

Found the 9003 headlight bulbs that tick my boxes. Will call on Monday to confirm some things efore ordering.

    https://headlightrevolution.com/gtr-lighting-gen-3-ultra-series-led-headlight-bulbs-h4-9003/

    1) Best Beam Pattern.
    2) No cooling fans.
    3) Runs DTR lights (rare for most LEDs). Our trucks DTR run at 7.5v. Most LED only run down to 8v., thus rendering DTR in the off position. DTR is very important to me.
    4) High quality Philips (same chip as my sweet new fogs). Plug and play!
    5) Bonus: Lifetime Warranty. No questions asked. Free for life basically.

You could always unplug the DTRLs. Super easy. Just one plug on the fender by the battery. Now I can cruise with just my ambers like the newer Tacos and Tundras

I like the factory set up as is.

DTR on ignition. Stalk in off position.

Ambers on the stalk first turn. No DTR.

Headlights and ambers on the stalk at second turn.

Weird. I would like that set up ok. However mine was headlights always on and it was annoying because bulbs burn faster, LEDs never lasted and when off roading at night, I'd blind my spotter

Lifetime warranty on these with no questions asked. Free for life.

Supposed best beam pattern (reason they cost $239 vs. $49 Cheapies)?

Will they blind? Guess I’ll find out the hard way. The 80+ reviews seem pretty stoked on these. Some Tundra and 4Runner older trucks had great reviews. Many of these people have had the cheapies previously like you had for sale a while back. Snap! :boink::cheers:

The ones I had for sale may have been older tech but they certainly weren't cheap lol. I paid like 180 for em 2 years ago.oh and they were lifetime warranty .Hell the brand name was lifetime led

Live stream data, logging individual sensors, they can read manufacturer specific codes. They also allow control of individual components, emissions control valves, ABS pump.

They incorporate a lot of the functionality of manufacturer systems instead of having to purchase each one.

Finally got the Bilstein 5100s installed today. RIP to the cheap China spring compressor, you weren't up to the Toyota standard...
Pretty straight forward to install just had to drop the LCA when installing the Bilstein, whereas I didn't have to with the oem, ps. I am running a 2 inch spacer. Also decided to see the difference between sway bar and no sway bar. Couldn't really see a difference, should've gotten a tape measure. I think the limiting factor is the UCA. Definitely think that these shocks will make a difference since the oem shock lower bushing wasn't even attached anymore.MVIMG_20190316_173229.jpg IMG_20190316_173300.jpg IMG_20190316_174908.jpg IMG_20190316_213443.jpg

It was over 55 degrees today!!

Got the 35 mounted today. Threw it on and did some fitment testing.

It passes the Mall-Crawler test. I just can’t hit any bumps... lol

Any how I’m going to my alignment shop this week to get some better caster numbers to help out. But still, some cutting / smashing will be necessary to properly fit these.

They sure look good though...

You and I have the same paint job. I skipped the IronX as it was expensive and didn't notice any need but it was part of the recommended plan for paint correction. It sounds like you shouldn't skip that step.

It honestly wasn't that bad. I enjoy this sort of work and my truck looks amazing. Best it has looked in 3 years. Paint has a new depth and shine that wasn't present before. I was able to get out 90% of the oxidation. If I was close I'd come share a Molsen with you and help!

Yeah buddy. Those other LED bulbs I’ve been eyeing are around that same price of $180. They have the CREE technology (better with one solid diode), but do not operate below 8v which renders the DTR useless. Maybe I’ll join the cool crowd and DTR delete by default.

Or, I’ll do the 5.0 Morimotos? Anybody know if they have DTR functionality at 7.5v?

Good to know. I'll probably follow what you did but add in the IronX. The Woman likes tedious crap (she's with me, what's that say?), so I'll probably bribe her to help me.

If you were close, I'd be happy to buy you a case of good beer to help. No Molsen here.

I have some rock chips on the A pillar, hood and roof I need to touch up as well. At what point in the process would you do that? After Ironx, before everything else?

Ordered a cable for my Alpine deck, it plugs into the Alpine specific aux terminal and has a 3.5mm headphone jack on the other end. I've had my ipod connected for ten years but it has been acting up lately and won't play. Will be once to play Spotify in my truck instead.
