    I would give it a go at cleaning it up with baking soda and water. I think it’s mostly superficial. I’m being optimistic though.

    Well…. I disassembled the integration relay one step further than my last pic and it didn’t look horrible. So I cleaned off all corrosion with a small nylon brush in a dremel, shrugged my shoulders and reassembled. Got it all back together and all systems go! I know the corrosion didn’t look great, but I did inspect all internal circuitry searching for any breaks or morphed components, and found none. Pretty confident it’s a successful fix. I’ll come forth and admit defeat if it bites me later. For now, I’m taking the ‘W’:hattip:

    Had I known it was going to work out, I would've taken pics of the deeper guts, and the lot of it all after the clean-up.
    Where the worst of it was that you've circled, that's a whole line of pins that punch into that board from the underside. I cleaned all the pins well, and all of their receiving terminals (I've a pretty good understanding of electronics. The terminology; not so much). I know the best fix would be a replacement, but i heard they're a kick in the piggy bank, and this truck is my daily, so...:notsure:
    Thought about fashioning a small hood of some kind to protect it from future possible leaks, so if it does get wet again and shit the bed, I'll know that it was a good idea that was never executed and really have a good reason to kick myself..:rofl:

    You're pretty badass but man, I would have (and did) feel best about a new replacement. You're quite the capable dude getting it back for another round.

    Of course a new replacement would be ideal, but I have more 'willing and able' than 'dollars and sense'. So this is what I do. It doesn't always end well for me, that's a fact.

    It definitely earns respect.

    I have my old one still which I could send to you but my truck, being an '02 and w low beam DRL's, I think it's different enough it could make life worse for you. But, on the flip side, if you got to the point of wanting to swap a specific chip and the numbers matched, I'd be happy to send it so you could harvest. I have no intent of reinstalling it ever.

    I appreciate the offer. If you can hold onto it until we get another good rain, then I'll know if I've a use for it or not. If it were to fail in the rain, you can send it and call me Dr. Solder

    @Mustanley,
    I changed out my front window trim today (I based my previous directions off my last truck) and found that you do not need to remove your door panels to remove the side mirrors. If you pull on the top of the speaker covers they will pivot down and off, exposing the 3 nuts to remove your side mirrors so you can remove your trim. Pretty easy to do.

    Of course by the time I realized this I had a door panel off, but did the other side with the door panel on.

    I thought that was case. I just had the driver door panel and teeter cover off last week when repairing the door check mechanism and saw the studs that come through for the side mirror.

    I cleaned off my condenser today. I'm assuming this is pretty good? I realize these IR thermometers are not the best judge of this. It is actually reading about 10 degrees colder after cleaning it.

    Finally got myself a roof rack! Installation wasn't too bad and they have very minimal whistle at 65mph and the windows rolled out. Opted for Rhino Rack after a shitfest of an ordeal trying to get an Inno product that actually fit - I am now in week 3 of trying to return a rack system they stated fit the truck, but did indeed NOT fit the truck. $350 for the crossbars from Rhino as I already had tracks on my camper shell. Happy happy happy kayaking!
