To me the TPMS thing is not about cost, if I have the system I feel compelled to use it.

It’s about hassle when swapping summers and winters. The extra step of programming (I don’t have a tool for that yet and don’t really want one)

I could hand type in TS / copy and paste, if I remembered or stored the numbers i a file. But that doesn’t solve for the Odyssey.

So I mostly take the two with TPMS to DT for any wheel swaps at this point. That’s sort of my plan. Go for a run while I wait for them to do what I can do.

vs a simple swap w shop jack in my garage. Which takes less time than driving.

Before I had a great DT roughly one mile away. Now it’s about 8. So not possible to drop off like before.

So what is that thing? A radiator coolant strainer in line in the upper hose?

Yea, and i now assume you're supposed to check and clean the screen more often. But at least that junk didnt get to settle in the heater core.

No it’s just the neglect of the prior owner, IMO. When he first flushed the system it was full of rust contaminated water. I think it’s in his crackhead build thread.

I wonder if you could use a positive charged anode (?cathode?) to clean the rust with electrolysis. Probably fry the computer...

IDK, I wouldn’t want to change the pH of the coolant with some catalyst like baking soda (sorry, washing soda) to make the coolant conductive so it’ll work.

Someone tried to get my cats last night. I had a strange feeling about it last night. Something spooked them.

honestly this has me apprehensive about moving to socal , told my wife truck is going to have to fit in the garage, I’m keeping it registered in FL though so if they do get me I’ll look into what options I have then.

One failproof method I have seen recently: sleep in the truck and then, when you hear the cutoff tool fire up, quickly put the truck into gear and run the guy over. Works 12% of the time.

You remember seeing all the garbage that came outta crackie? I think this is just the residual. Wise move on Noah's part to install that thing.

I read this over the weekend. I rarely wish even my mortal enemies death, but won't lie, I was laughing when I read the story. And the fact they got all the assholes involved in a nearby car also. Serves them right. Thieves are the scum of the earth.

Bummer. Any reputable shop should either be able to weld, sleeve, or weld and sleeve that, no issue. $150-300 tops and most of that is labor to unbolt the cats so it's easier to weld up.

yep, but in the pressurized tube they keep the light off.

But I'm pro working system. TPMS has given me early warning & saved me some tires. ...and I hate checking tire pressures.

Thats assault, asking about intent if you're an illegal tranny. Like me.

My titan has crank windows and manual seats, it doesnt beep, but theres a light. Non-intrusive amber in the corner behind the steering wheel rim.

The below is from a TIS I downloaded a few years back. It's similar to what is shown in the FSM for the cylinder head block....criss cross/stagger. What it's not showing is our 9th bolt and not sure if that matters where it should fit in sequence so I just fug it.
