Use some Griot's trim restorer on your bumper plastics & other "black" trim on your truck, it'll take 100k miles off the old girl.
    Headlights & grill look good.

Yup. I didn't realize you had to bend the tab out cause there's metal in the seal.

Upside is our glass guy can get one in from his supplier by lunchtime and get it squared away today.

Downside is I’m out 240 bucks and time off work:rofl:

Yup that was my experience also. My pics and explanation on the tube seals are here: https://www.tundras.com/threads/wha...-gen-tundra-today.2558/page-1294#post-2692231

But really, this post really covers all the bases about what @jerryallday can expect: https://www.tundras.com/threads/valve-covers-fix-or-leave.105385/#post-2712883

Nope. Those look blue, so I'm assuming Fel-Pro. Dude, I'm a Fel-Pro fan. I love Fel-Pro stuff. I'll never bash someone for using their parts, I just didn't buy the Fel-Pro kit because it comes with everything you need and more, and the price wasn't much more to go OEM. It may've actually been cheaper with the discounts I scored.

Small win for the day, got the windshield replaced and squared away by COB today.

Also some parts showed up, so I got that going for me. The way things are going, it’s looking like I’m gonna end up doing a refresh on a bunch of the front end suspension. February kinda sucks here, so likely gonna be doing all the work at theshop on post. Heated and with a lift, count me in:rofl:

I'm pretty sure most of us would be interested to follow that build. It still has the heart of a 1st gen.

Too funny, and caught the reference, never thought I'd see it on here.

Funny story, I went to lunch with coworkers months before pando lockdowns started. There was a Goodwill in the same strip mall. I went inside after eating and found that album on vinyl at the Goodwill inside the same strip mall as the restaurant. At $2, you know I bought it.

Even though it's colder than a witches teet in a brass bra, I put on some new shoes. Next is the running boards/steps coming off. I refuse to admit I'm an old man and need them. They are Lund brand if anyone (old dude) is interested, oh yeah, I'll be getting rid of the old wheels too.new ride.jpg new shoes.jpg

Blown motor? If that's all that's wrong with it, $4k is a score

Stink-buggin hard with the HD springs, or is it just because you're unloaded? I know that front bumper/winch can't be that much heavier
Looks like you got your wheels paint-matched to the truck? Or they're just gunmetal and match perfectly. That works really well with that particular color, IMO.

The wheels are color matched. the previous owner went to toyota of redding ca and bought a quart of the same paint that matched the paint code of the truck. My extra set of factory alloys are the OEM silver, so i need to repaint those soon to match the set im currently running.
Also i took off the stock center caps and that drastically improved the look of the factory alloy's.
