No I even asked them if they would send it as a kit but no go.
Binford5000 status, that’s how I roll. I also had to remove and add light tabs where I wanted them(I specifically asked for the tabs to not be welded on and shipped loose, they came welded on….)
I added some wing supports, my neighbor pointed out that I don’t have them mounted to the most structural thing in the world, but it’s better than nothing.

got some tweaking to do, make it narrow, make some wedge shaped spacers... the leafs will be centered, but i dont have clamps that'll reach.

That really doesn't sound like the kind of company I want to give my money to.

Sounds like they just sold you a string of F-Us

no, they're still cool. Double neat if they came in AC. Still trying to finish talking myself out of a flared tilt nose '18 conversion.

I learned it by test driving the new Tacoma back in 95. It's fun the watch the sales person's face when you grind the clutch. :D

Got my end links knocked out this morning. Wanted to change the sway bar bushings, but the bolts weren't having it. Put some naval jelly on them and a couple of other places. One of the end links was completely shot, and was causing an annoying clunk. New Suspension Max ones fixed it! Did a poor job with pictures bc I was in a rush before work. Keep Hammering!

I've driven manuals for my daily up till October of last year and all were hatchbacks - '88 CRX SI (loved it) then a '13 Golf diesel (+50mpgs until they bought it back) and then a Volvo C30R (quick and really a nice car).

When I bought the Golf I didn't even drive it until after we did the paperwork. Hopped in it like a boss and stalled the damn thing three times before getting to the street!

It was great! Diesel was actually cheaper than regular unleaded most of the time I owned it so it was cheap to daily (fair amount of 60+mph on my commute). For what it was it moved pretty well too.
But with the diesel cheat they offered me more to buy it back than I could walk away from. Had I known they would have created a “fix” for it I may have kept it but the unknown and the $ they offered I had to sell it back.

I looked around for a while after the fix but the prices were just too much…

I lusted after a '90-91 CRX manual when I was a teenager. I wanted one of those damn things so damn bad. I could never afford one. Closest I got was a '95 Civic EX sedan.

I actually still wouldn't mind having one as a high-MPG around-town errand runner. They're so killer to put systems in. The cabin is like VW beetles, drop a sub in the rear and it pounds the cab.

My buddy had a bare bones red one. In my younger mangler days I attempted to help him change the brakes and couldn’t get the front rotors off (factory Phillips retainer screw). We aborted after attempting several dumb things, including taking off his CV hub nut, which I put back on with 13 ugga duggas. His wheel bearing burnt up the next week. You’re welcome Gary.

I miss my crx. 89 yellow si. I had it when I was 16 and lost it when I lost my job and didn't get a new one. I found a mint 91 black si a few months ago. I was tempted, but it was $10k.

I would've probably bought it at 25% less. But yeah. $10k is a bit much. Even if mint.

Good friend of mine had a crx, that was also red. He swapped a b16 in it I think. Also gave it a nice new paint job. Cool car, but a little small. He sold it and bought an 01 or so z28, that we consequently pulled a trailer with to pickup a hot tub a couple of hours away. We did it to save gas, and ended up getting like 12mpg or something stupid pulling that thing. Also got dicey on bumps. Wouldn't mind doing college again.

Wonder if the CRX comes with any of that crack, or if he already smoked it all.

I had a manual '86 prelude when I was a young lad. Red. Lil fukr was fast, and no governor. It did get a little trembly at about 125 mph, but man that thing was fun..... til I wrapped the little bastard around a tree. That's the only vehicle I ever totaled.
