no. logging with techstream. theres power to be made for sure. but to do that. he'd rather have me make a patch harness for a haltech, tune the haltech, then put those numbers into the stock ecu.. reflashing the old ecu is a SERIOUS hassle

Kelford really, Never would have imagined. I know XAT makes a set also, but never seen numbers on a 2UZ. Does Kelford have any R&D on these 2UZ cams?

Yea Toyota really locked those ECUs down. I worked at Toyota R&D for a bit and the engineers would confirm with me how locked down they were.

the ecu board is the same as a 2006 avalon though. fun fact.. different surface mounts. but the main controllers are the same. just a few more things attached for the V8 stuff

Nice. I'm still debating buying a 3rd spare ECU and sending it in to DAP for a tune. I've definitely lost a bit of power in changing to bigger tires, although the butt dyno feels the same lol.

Got around to installing my replacement camper shell parts. Latches just fine now!

The catch brackets are insanely worn out and you can see why one of them wasn't catching.

    camper (32).jpg

Also the hinges have been upgraded to a two-bolt design. From the factory, there is only one bolt and the other hole has a plastic nub that goes through. The plastic nub on both my hinges were worn so only the one bolt was securing the window.

If i were to source some rear shocks with springs on em, think i could go 50lb/in? 100lb/in? Need to box those braces before going crazy? Cause it could be easy to pull the shocks off if i needed to flex, while being stable enough to haul what i'll be haulin'

Ended up slimming the front bumper on my 06 double cab. Came back from work one night at UPS and someone backed a package car into the front of it. I tried my best for 2 weeks to ignore the ding and the missing paint and today was the last straw. Between the jigsaw and sander I went to town. Thought it would be relatively easy but trimming it made it to where there wasn’t a lot of points to attach to so the bottom was a little wobbly. So after 1000 zip ties I think we are in business. Probably not the best looking job out there but better than what I had I guess. It will serve the purpose until I decide to get that high dollar steel one. Haha

Took some vid today to see how things are moving. A few thoughts:
    1. You can see how axle warp/wrap works
    2. When I mounted to my bumper, noises were more metalic/direct - I should check my bolts
    3. When I mounted to the slider, I was surprised at how much the body mounts compress
    4. Trans mounts move quite a bit.

I’ve noticed a small vibe after my leafs were installed, thinking about shimming the carrier bearing, but yours looks just as “bad” as mine is perceived

@alb1k I like how you don't have hard lines going into your calipers. Are those the banjo fittings that @Darkness would talk about?

THose are the Solo motorsport extended (but not LT) lines. No crazy banjo, just a 90 deg at the caliper. I really like them. Getting a proper "s" so they don't contact anything they are not supposed to takes a touch of thought.

Ya, I have the carrier shimmed. Not sure it's needed. I'm sure it doesn't hurt anything.
