Tinting the windshield is illegal everywhere, insurance ain't paying for that shit. Ceramic tint can run anywhere between $125-250 installed, depends on the brand and local competition. Don't go any darker than 50%, you can't really notice at that level and it doesn't affect your night driving. 35% is a problem with the police, they can spot that shit real quick

Ironman is 35% all around. That's the limit in TX. I could've done 5% on the backs and rear, but I like my shit to match.

I figured Texas would allow darker than 35, it's fkin hot as shit over there. Florida is 28% front and 15% rears, I'm at 25% all around but I plan redoing the tint this winter, maybe a little darker

I've had illegal window tint on almost every vehicle I've owned for the last 18 years. I've only been stopped for it once and didn't receive a ticket.

I've had 5% on the Tundra for 6 years and never had an issue. I've heard some states are really strict about it but they aren't here. I would never tint my windshield though. Seems like it it would be difficult to see at night.

15% is the sweet spot in my opinion. Dark enough without being too dark.

Some states are very strict, Georgia, most north east states for instance. But some places it's so damn hot, police don't bother you, Nevada, Arizona and here in Florida. 50% tint on the windshield is the sweet spot, very high heat rejection and uv protection but you don't even realize it's there. My wife got her windshield done after she drove my truck a couple days, she realized that it's barely noticeable

Changed out my front cup holders. They really went purple in the sun.
Also used a multimeter to check my plugs for the heated seats so I can finally get those working and install my driver seat leather/heater element afterwards.
I'm still confused on the actual wires from the heating elements to the seat plug but it can only be a couple wires so I THINK I can figure it out.

Gotta love UPS. Went to the hub at 11am and they were closed with bizzare hours listed since they’re so understaffed. Went back at lunch and the only girl working there tells me I have to come back later to get a receipt since the system was updating. FML :bored:

It was basically chrome paper in a few spots at this point. Rusted from behind even though it’s coated in POR-15. Still got a good 20 years out of it so I can’t complain.

So am I the founding member of the 5100/884 Club!? Surely somebody else out there has this combo. Yesterday I picked up my '06 4wd Access Cab truck from the shop having newly installed 5100s all around and OME 2884 springs up front. The front adjustables are set on their lowest perch. Front lift so far measures at 1 7/8" or slightly less. I did not add the leaf pack to the rear, so now it has a slight (1/8 - 1/4") front rake. I hope it settles down to perfectly level but I think it looks pretty good as is. The shop installed a diff drop kid, no UCAs, and the alignment went smooth. I really like how it's riding on the highway and gravel thus far, and it should feel even better with new tires, which it sorely needs. If I add a steel bumper in the next year, will be interesting to see how the 884s hold up, the shop guru (who I trust) thinks they should handle it fine. I hope to take the truck wheelin in the next few days and will add photos soon.

I bought a Pathfinder in Maryland, which requires a state inspection prior to registration. The inspector made me remove the tint from the side windows before passing me.

I bought the clear lens version of my motorcycle helmet, because it has the flip down built in sunglasses, then bought the tinted lens, so ive got double tinting.

Well damn. It was 2003 when I tinted one of my SHOs and asked about it last. Could've changed since then. Or maybe that's what the rears were on the truck and I just went with that? I dunno, I've drank since then.

Since I haven't used 885s I don't know the answer to your question. Of course it will depend on the weight of your rig and accessories. I debated whether to go with 885s, rear progressive leaf pack, and upper control arms. I decided to keep it simple for now, see how it rides and what the future may bring.

I forgot about state inspection, Florida gave that up like 20+ years ago. That's why so many modified cars run without catalytic converters

Shitttttt insurance is optional, as is citizenship.
But I have to wonder, what parts of Florida have you been driving through? There are plenty of parts 'round here that you described there vehicles very accurately, I'm now concerned for your safety and well-being

The management dept (wifey) and I spent a few days over at Ft Myers beach. The ocean is so much calmer on your side than the Atlantic. I'm very familiar with the hood over there, as well as Miami, Broward, W palm and some of the northern sections of the state. Dirty south is a unique place, multi million dollar homes on the east side of the street and trap house on the west with street walkers (dem B's crack hoes) at all hours of the day and night. Drive 10 minutes down the road and you in the country with trailer parks, lifted old pickups and barefoot, toothless 20 year olds.

This is our 2nd tour living in Florida.... Built a house in Clermont in 1989 before it BOOMED.... I kept the tractor trailer in the development for 2 build phases and then "walked across 50" to park it the last 4 years... That was the good thing about Florida Spec tractors; my Kenworth's were no longer than my Tundra is... parked in the driveway to clean/work on it :hattip:
